Since I started taking lessons with her about 5 months ago, I've seen a lot of improvement. She makes sure that you work hard every single class and she doesn't let you get away with not doing your best. Also, she has been working with me on fixing the bad habits I never knew I had before she pointed them out. Moreover, she is very observant and tailors each class to work on the things she sees you struggling with, even if you don't realize it yourself that you are having trouble. Eliza has taught me so much and I'm sure that anyone would benefit from taking her class.

I have been teaching Ballet in New York City for over 6 years, at various studios including the Joffrey Ballet School. When taking a private ballet lesson I will assess your technical level and help you understand what your strengths and weaknesses are. In a supportive way I will help to improve ballet technique, increase flexibility, refine rhythmic understanding to acquire clarity in your ballet training.
I will cater private lessons for beginning ballet students to professional dancers. My style is very supportive and direct. I believe that to improve as a dancer you need personal feedback and hard work. I am very passionate about sharing what I know to help other dancers reach their goals.
I have taught Master Classes and Intensive Workshops in the Paul Taylor style throughout the nation, as well as teaching Vaganova Ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School. I have taught in numerous public schools through teaching residencies with Rioult Dance Company and Education In Dance. I believe these experiences have taught me how to assess individuals quickly and provide clear feedback in a positive and supportive way.
My teaching style is energetic, and focused on the personal experience each dancer is having, while giving direct and clear feedback. My goal is to help students reach their art
Private lessons can be catered toward each individual. Either for an upcoming audition, feedback on solo or ensemble choreography, to help personalize technical corrections and to help push technique to a higher level, or for non dancers to help understand movement and feel comfortable in a beginning class.

As a professional dancer and teacher of ballet, yoga, and the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methods, I have a deep knowledge of the physical and expressive potential of the human body.
As a teacher, I work in a way that is focused yet easygoing, approaching each individual student's capability in a healthy way. I have taught students ranging in age from 7 to 75, and love teaching any age.
My ballet classes begin with the foundations of classical ballet, with a focus on the details of technique that allow a student to quickly progress in strength, flexibility, and continue to progress to higher levels and possibilities of movement. As a dancer and teacher, I have found that this strong technical foundation is what allows dancers to find the most freedom and expression as artists.
My other movement classes (yoga, stretch, conditioning, Gyrokinesis) always work in the healthiest way for the body, respecting the student's needs and capabilities each day. We begin with an easy ...
