Ms. Janai was the best tutor I have ever had. No matter the day, or time she was always there to help me out. Either it was math, science, writing, etc. she'd help me with every subject no matter how long it took for me to get it right, every subject was like her first nature. She was amazing teaching in person and just as good online. I've never met another tutor like Janai, she understands what you're going wrong and what your difficulties are, but she always manages to turn those difficulties around and make you better at understanding what you need to do better in order to succeed. If you're looking for an outstanding tutor Janai is the way to go!

Janai is great with older adults. She's so patient and makes me feel relaxed even when I'm saying the wrong words. She has passion! and that's exciting to see.

The classics and emergent literature of the North American continent and American expatriates writing in different countries represent an indispensable conduit and upgrade to any of the subjects from the current teacher’s profile. This literature is exemplary for its offbeat, innovative writers, as the Beats, and global avant-gardists as the New York School of poetry. Nevertheless, students will find the gamut of moral, social, and existential themes that distinguish any classic literary cultural expression. Students can use recommended literary readings to deepen and broaden the quality of learning for such current topics, as accent training, writing skills, ESL, and TOEFL/IELTS. Vocabulary lists can be extracted and developed from the literature for attainment of higher test scores and to further minimize/moderate accent-related speech concerns. Emotional expressions and cultural insights intensify the immersion students require to adequately reflect common English parlance. ...

Erol utilizes an audio software to analyze and determine what needs to be worked. This eliminates a lot of human hearing errors and gives me a visual on what’s correct vs incorrect. Highly recommended for you to try his method out.

I enjoyed the lesson very much, he started out teaching things that made sense so that I would learn faster than the lessons I have previously taken and not done well with.
I'm looking forward to the next lesson and am practicing what we went over in class.

Hiring J.R. has been an incredibly uplifting, fun, and educational experience. A far better experience than I could have asked or hoped for. I’m learning! And excited for the progress, which does take an investment of practice, energy & time. He is extremely patient & flexible with how to cope with my needs (when possible) and super supportive: I’m almost 50 and paralyzed.

As corny as this sounds I’ve never known anyone with such a broad overall knowledge, experience and wisdom about music and instruments. If I have a question about my piano playing, or virtually any music question, he either has the answer or helps me find it if he doesn’t.

He is extremely knowledgeable and respectful and has more than earned my respect and gratitude.

Hiring him is one of the best choices I’ve ever made. The only regret I have is that I didn’t hire him sooner.

As a math and standardized test tutor, I strive to stay results-oriented and based around the student's needs. In past experience as a tutor in college, where I was an undergraduate math major, I would often see shortcuts to problems that to me were simpler than the methods taught in class, but I became acutely aware of the need to approach learning from students' point of view in addition to my own. Putting students first calls me to help them directly with their needs and to meet them where they are.

About Alexander

As a violin teacher, I always aim to set goals for students, to guide students towards them, and to be direct as possible so far as is appropriate. I also try to stay results-oriented throughout the process. Even if not all of a student’s progress is directly attributable to me, the most important

I really appreciated Alexander teaching me violin. He was basically my first instructor and he was always patient and motivating. He accommodated my unique needs as an adult beginner and brought me far in a short time. He was a little challenged to balance teaching with his heavy school load, but I appreciated his willingness to take the time to teach and help others.

"We are very fortunate to have found Colin to tutor our son, who is 14, in algebra. He was struggling in his class and with his confidence in math, but after his first few sessions with Colin his quiz and test scores in algebra came up. Not only that, but he even teaches his classmates the techniques he has learned with Colin. Very impressed with our son’s progress. Thank you Colin!"

"I tend to have a busy schedule with my work, but Bill is accommodating and punctual. In our lessons, we go over topics I struggle with and he thinks of variations of the problem that may appear on the exam to guarantee I fully mastered the concepts. I rather be overprepared than failing and studying for the GMAT all over again."

"Tom is a very good English teacher. I have problems understanding English literature very often because I am not a native speaker and Tom helped me with patience understanding English literature from context, background of the author and writing habits. Through his instructions I can finally appreciate the beauty of English literature like I appreciate the literature works in my mother tongue. From Shakespeare to Mark Twain I travelled through ages and time when I read, think about and ponder upon their masterpieces. Most importantly I am able to understand them, and it feels amazing. Thank you, Tom!"

"I am in my second year of homeschooling and had prayed specifically for a male teacher to come alongside us and assist in our homeschooling adventure. Although my son, who is six, is not having any difficulties at the moment, homeschooling is still new to me and I was hoping I could find someone who would keep us accountable and help fill in any gaps in my son's schooling. We have found Maurice to be just what we needed. He is engaging and encouraging and has been helpful in sharing strategies and teaching techniques that foster comprehensive learning and not merely memorization."
