Teresa was awesome! She worked with me and my limited flexibility and really set me up for success with exercises to integrate into my routine. She was also very cognizant of a prior injury and presented long term alternate solutions to tissue regrowth. I really look forward to working with her again!

She was really great, we have only had one lesson so far but she made me feel very comfortable and I feel like she will be perfect for me helping me get over my stage fright. She came up with quite a few ideas up front and can tell she is taking it seriously, which makes me even more confident in her because it is such a serious issue for me. I am looking forward to working with her.

I have had experience in many different types of dance over the last 30 years. I love dance of any kind and love to pass that on to my students! I try very hard to make my lessons specific to the needs of each student not only in what I teach, but in how I teach them. I have had much experience working with students with physical limitations, as well as those who are very advanced. While I do focus on technique and proper performance of steps, I also enjoy getting my students to perform and enjoy dancing. After 30 years of dancing and almost 20 years of teaching I still love what I do and can't wait to share that love with you!

About Stephanie
With 30 years of dance experience and almost 20 years teaching experience, I am excited to help you learn to dance! I have done many different forms of dance from Ballet and Modern dance to Ballroom, Latin, Hustle and West Coast Swing.

After getting my BFA in Dance Pedagogy I began to branch out into the world of partner dancing. After spending some time competing in International Latin, I eventually starting competing in Hustle. I became a champion Hustle dancer, eventually being undefeated in Just Hustle competitions. During my time in Hustle I was also performing in dinner shows with a troupe of dancers and we would travel to events around the country. I was also exposed to West Coast Swing at the time, and this became my next venture.

I have reached the All-Star level in West Coast Swing and have continued to travel to eve
nts to teach, judge, and compete in both West Coast Swing and Hustle. All this time I have continued to study and teach Ballet and Modern Dance as well as Jazz, Ballroom and Latin.

I have been teaching on my own since 2008 and have had students of all levels. My students have been successful in competitions as well as being very strong social dancers. I love to teach and find that while it can be difficult to learn to dance, we can also have fun while doing it!

I was based in the Philadelphia area for almost 15 years and earlier this year have moved to the Charlotte, NC area. I teach at a couple of studios in the Lake Norman and Charlotte area as well as being able to teach online or in the comfort of your home. I look forward to sharing my love of dance with you, no matter what kind of dance you would like to learn!

Ureka showed great enthusiasm, personality, and clarity. Her moves are graceful to watch and try to emulate. Verbal cues for cadence and emphasis are very helpful. Bringing her husband in to demonstrate partner moves brought it all together. My wife and I had great fun on this first lesson in preparation for our son's wedding!

Dance Lessons with me are designed to be a fun, inviting, and educational learning experience. Each lesson is a time of positive enrichment, growth, and unlimited opportunities. Growing up, I always enjoyed going to dance classes as they were an escape route from my daily duties or simply just relieving my mind from math homework for a few hours. Now, as an instructor I strive to meet each students needs by teaching in a style that best suits them. My goal as a teacher is to help my students become the best dancer they can be while also helping them be the best person they can be by teaching them time management skills, discipline, and the importance of the arts.

About Katie Rose
Katie Rose Carnes, a Memphis native, is a graduate from The University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Food and Nutrition and Human Development and Family Studies. She is excited to extend her passion and enthusiasm for dance as she begins her performance and teaching career.
Carnes has trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, and contemporary dance styles for 17 years. While completing her undergraduate degree for the past four years Carnes also focused heavy on choreography and dance for film. Carnes has choreographed five works while attending UA, with three of them being chosen for festivals and other performance opportunities.
Rags & Riches, a fosse inspired work, was chosen by UA Dance director, Cornelius Carter, to be showcased at The University of Alabama’s Homecoming Festivities to repr
esent the dance department. It’s a Choice, It’s a Chance, It’s a Change, a contemporary work, was selected to perform at Alabama Dance Festival (’17) and the Young Choreographers Festival in New York City (’17). Additionally, Don’t think too much, a jazz funk duet, was chosen to go on tour with the UA dance department to inner city schools in the state of Alabama to share the art of dance with the students. Furthermore, Carnes directed and choreographed two films, Beauty and A Chance in Time. Both films were selected for The University of South Florida’s Dance Shorts Film Festival (’15 & ’16), and A Chance in Time was showcased in the Dance Alabama Film Festival (’17).
August 2016, Carnes returned from her first International performance of Col/apse, at the International Collegiate Theatre Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. In fall ’15, Carnes was selected as an Undergraduate Creative Research Activity Scholar where she received a grant to pursue her dream as an artist at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
This past summer, Carnes is worked in the Live Entertainment department at Cedar Point, summer 2017. She then went on to perform on tour the Chicago Honey Bear Dancers and is now a full-time teacher with Today’s Generation Dance. In her spare time, Carnes enjoys exercising, photography, and reading nutrition blogs.

My approach to Bellydance is all about body awareness. I work with students on understanding body mechanics in order to eventually be able to layer increasingly complex, grounded and fluid movements. Wether your goal is professional dance or simply to enjoy a new hobby, classes are tailored to your needs!

Private classes are 30 mins-2 hours. The first half of class focuses exercises to help pinpoint the right muscles. The second half is on our feet performing drills and dancing!

About Devon
Hi there, I’m a Bellydance teacher and performer based in Los Angeles!

I began belly dancing at the age of twelve with Tracy Windisch at the School of Performing Arts and Cultural Education in Ukiah California. At age 14 I joined her company Troupe Sattya who performed in festivals, private parties, and shows in Northern California including Health and Harmony, Sol Fest, and Tribal Fest.

Since my teacher came from the Suhaila Salimpour studio, I am a third generation student of her style which is a fusion of Cabaret and tribal belly dance. This school of technique teaches the methodical discovery of specific muscles as a foundation in order to isolate and layer movements in a precise and healthy manner. I also have training in modern, ballet and jazz technique.
