"She is a most talented instructor and well paced."
Art is a natural expression of everything that is good, everything that is hopeful, everything that is beautiful about the human experience. Also, art is a great social developer. The researchers found that music powerfully influenced the emotional ratings of the faces. Happy music made happy faces seem even happier while sad music exaggerated the melancholy of a frown. A similar effect was also observed with neutral faces. The simple moral is that the emotions of music are “cross-modal,” and can easily spread from sensory system to another.

In the world of music, “a limited set of tones is the starting point for melodies, which in turn are arranged into complex structures to create symphonies.” Buehler thinks (2014), “of an orchestra, where each instrument plays a relatively simple series of tones.” We practice singing up to 8 forward and singing descend from 8 to 1. Plus, we sung in the key of C and use the triads in CDEFGABC, The experience was awesome, Cool.

Research findings says, “Only when combined do these tones become the complex sound we call 'jazz' or 'classical music.'” Imperatively (2014), “music is just one example of a hierarchical system, where patterns are nested within larger patterns—similar to the way characters form words, which form sentences, then chapters and eventually a novel”(in quoted text)..

Buehler states, “Composers have exploited the concept of hierarchies for thousands of years, perhaps unknowingly, but only recently have these systems been understood mathematically.” “This math shows that the principles of musical composition are shared by many seemingly diverse hierarchical systems, suggesting many exciting avenues to explore”(Buehler,2014).

While in college, I tutored students in various Math course ranging from Calculus to Linear Algebra. My students went on to get a deep understanding of the subject material and did very well in the classes I tutored them in. I believe for a student to learn, it takes effort on both the student's part and the teacher's. I take my time to fully understand what the student's weaknesses are and how to approach them while instilling confidence in the student.

About Michael
While in college, I tutored other students in various courses including Calculus, linear Algebra, and Physics to name a few. I also tutored and was a Graduate Assistant in a few Electrical Engineering classes such as Circuits 1 and a few labs as well. I have a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering and I am currently employed as an Electrical Engineer. Math and Science is what I have known all my life. I assure you that you are in good hands.
As far as teaching baseball, I played for a Division 1 team in college. I also worked in one of the largest baseball camps in the Northeast, the New York Baseball Academy, throughout my entire collegiate career. I taught children the fundamentals of hitting and fielding in a way that was fun and easy to learn.

I have a doctoral degree and 30 years of teaching experience in mathematics at public and private colleges. I have also done much one-on-one tutoring and curriculum planning. I am now retired.

I can help you learn arithmetic, algebra, finite math, trigonometry, or any other area of mathematics from primary or secondary school, or beginning college math. I have heard my students say things like "This is the first time I ever understood math!"

First of all, you have to believe that you are capable of doing mathematics. You may have heard well-meaning friends or parents say "You don't have a math brain" or "You are not a math person". These are counterproductive thoughts. In fact, anyone can learn mathematics. If you adopt a positive attitude and make good use of your study time, you can make great strides!

Hello Potential Students!

I've always believed that even the most complicated mathematical concepts can be broken down into simple, straightforward, and logical steps that anyone can understand. I'm here to show you that path forward. It's time to stop being afraid! I will help you face your math fears, fill the gaps in your knowledge, and get you back on track.

I have been tutoring math and physics for a number of years now. I have a degree in astrophysics and currently work as a patent attorney where I detail complicated new technologies for the public on a day-to-day basis.

Outside of work, I have a passion for helping kids tackle difficult subjects and raising potential in the classroom. I'll make sure you have the foundational knowledge to tackle difficult homework problems, and prepare for tests as they come around. Like everything, math is a skill that is developed with practice. I'll make sure that you have the tools to practice the right way.

About Joshua
Hello Potential Students!

I pride myself in being able to break down difficult skills into basic steps that anyone can master. The hard part is knowing how to break down those skills, but you can leave that part to me!

I've taught music and piano for a number of years, and also tutor students in difficult high school subjects such as match and physics. I have a degree in astrophysics from the University of Maryland, and now work as a patent attorney where I work to break down and detail difficult cutting-edge technologies for the public.

Outside of work, I really enjoy making and teaching music as well to people of all ages. I've specialized in jazz piano, but also really enjoy playing modern pop/rock. Students I teach piano to learn how to not just play their favorite songs, but also how to break them down and understand h
ow they were put together. This enables students to learn how to learn, and if they dare, to start making music of their own.

See you in the classroom!

I took lessons from Joshua for three months while my normal piano teacher was on vacation for the summer. In those months, my skills improved tremendously, leaving my teacher in awe of how much I improved during his hiatus. Josh worked with me on developing my technical skills and knowledge of music theory and was incredibly successful in helping me build on my previous skills. Joshua was understanding and patient as a teacher, helping me as I struggled through challenging pieces and encouraging me to continue practicing and not give up. Overall, Josh was a great teacher and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a piano teacher!

As a math major, I am very passionate about numbers and get a lot of enjoyment out of watching students' confusion turn into understanding and confidence. During my tutoring sessions, I make sure we are getting as much done as possible, but I keep it light-hearted and fun. I am a huge believer in the importance of explaining problems in multiple different ways so that the student can choose which way makes the most sense to them. My sessions also focus on confidence-building: one of the main problems I come across is that students have a perception that they are bad at math, making it harder for them to succeed.
