Math from Algebra all they way to Calculus forms the basis for work needed in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, many problems in Computer Science require a good understanding of basic algebra and logic concepts.
I would try to teach this subject in a manner the way I was originally taught. Start with the fundamental reason why the subject is needed for the problem you are trying to solve, and then build on top of from there by proceeding to learn the steps.
As a teaching assistant, I would assist the professor in proctoring exams so I have a lot of experience interacting with students and being able to adapt to different situations.

Teaching in a middle school I can see difficulties of students very easily. I recognize the patterns the students have an address them, so they won't keep making simple mistakes. I also use a lot of technology in my lessons.

I am currently a senior at Avila University, studying mathematics and finance. I am currently a tutor, but I plan on mastering in math and teaching at the collegiate level.
