Hello!
I love to teach and I have devoted my life to obtaining the highest music education possible. Learning to play an instrument is fun but it is also challenging. My lessons consist of technique and general music training that include aural skills and music theory. My lessons are a lot of fun because I have high standards, but also maintain a light hearted atmosphere. In addition to music, I am also a psychology researcher and have studied and published articles on the latest experimental education practices. So my lessons tend to be very different from a typical music lesson. I teach violin and viola from beginning to advanced levels. My students have ranged in age from 3 to 65 years old and I feel that I can teach students at any age.
If you want to include learning to play the violin or viola in your life then I would be a great choice for a teacher. Thank you. Elisa

I have been helping others learn math for seven years and I enjoy watching it click for others just as much as I enjoyed it when math first began to make sense to me. From experience, I know that mathematics can be very easy, or seemingly impossible to learn depending on how the information and concepts are presented. Whether you need help with fractions, factoring polynomials, trigonometric identities, solving triple integrals or anything in between, I can break everything down to first principles, and help you attain that deep understanding of the concepts that will get you that A on your next test.

I love teaching math because despite what is usually taught in school there are multiple ways to understand any concept. I help students find the way that works best for them and believe that seeing more than one way helps with the learning process.

With over 2500 hours of math tutoring experience, I've helped countless elementary school, middle school and high school students get better grades, strengthen their math skills, and build a bridge over a subject that will help them their entire lives. College and university students who've worked with me, as well as working adults, have succeeded in their classes and moved forward toward their futures, feeling more confident and better prepared for using math in real life application. Test prep is another area where I can help with math, using concept review, strategy and time management to help students maximize scores in math sections.
