Vania is an excellent Spanish instructor

I've taken many Spanish lessons that have ranged from various software programs to personal tutors. Vania is great. She knows how to relate with each person in order to convey concepts. She's the best I have worked with.

She's also very accommodating, since I tend to change my schedule around a lot. She is always flexible to accommodate. Vania is simply great.

About Zaky
Hi, my name is Zak! Music is a beautiful thing. It has the so much power. It can be used to send a message, move and inspire people. Music can impact emotions, it is a beautiful and powerful thing!

Music, and teaching have always been a big passion in my life. The ability to take knowledge of a subject that you have, and show, share, and shape someone and pass on that knowledge to them. It is an amazing feeling. I am a passionate, and caring instructor. My teaching style is encouraging, motivating, and educational. I fully believe that you can do anything you set your mind to, and I use that by showing my students that I believe in them.

I use a curriculum that was taught to me, and has been used in schools and universities. This curriculum fits all age groups and skill levels. Starting with Rock, moving to Funk, ending with Jazz.
When drumming playing with music, learning improvisation, and playing by ear is important. I also focus on this, having students learn their favorite songs, and learn to play with new music as well. This keeps students interested, and adds a fun personal element to their lessons. I also have implemented use of a teaching app, so while practicing if students have a question they can ask me right then so to not forget, and I can give feedback. It also has a practice tracker tool. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

I look forward to meeting you, and helping you reach your music goals!

Zaky is great with my son who has a history of brain injury which causes him to have short term memory problems. In just a few weeks he has much more confidence in himself and is even a slight bit ahead in band class. He is now able to help some of the other students which he loves. There are very few things that at school that don't overwhelm him, and Zaky has helped him find success in music.

Tamika is such a great instructor. She helped me break out of my comfort zone and worked with me to schedule lessons around my work schedule. I only got to be her student for a short period of time because school started back up, however, I would DEFINITELY recommend her to anyone who is interested in taking lessons with her. She will bring out the actress/actor in you you never knew was there!

About Kate
I started teaching piano lessons privately while I was a student at the University of Texas. My students range from 5 to 14 years old, introductory to intermediate playing levels.

I have an extensive background in music theory including classical piano training, contemporary guitar, years of choir, and personal voice coaching.

I have a special ability to work with young and inexperienced students. I am the perfect teacher for a student that is just being introduced to the world of piano. I am also a great teacher for those students who have a light background but are just starting to be re-introduced to the piano.

Both of our kids (8 and 6) have been taking lessons from Kate for several months. Our kids started lessons with no experience and have made great progress in a short amount of time. Kate has a teaching approach that has been well received by our children. Kate ensures the kids remain challenged week to week while still having fun. We are lucky to have found Kate and highly recommend her if you are looking for a great piano teacher.

Have fun with languages while spared the school trauma, especially Italian and French, as we watch movies, read the best literature of these cultures and - only if you want - listen to music and enjoy it like the native speakers.

After my first lesson I already feel more confident that I will be able to communicate some in Italian while on vacation in Italy. Daniel is an excellent teacher who is very knowledgeable in many languages. He made me feel comfortable right away.
He has a plethora of experiences from living and working abroad. He brought simple techniques/strategies that helped me understand grammar and pronunciation.
I have homework, can't wait for my next lesson. Ciao

I graduated with a 3.8 GPA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a degree in Chemistry. I was one of ten nominees for valedictorian of my graduating college class of 4,000 and inducted into the phi beta kappa college honor society.

I was recently hired by NYC as a substitute teacher and I love the job. I have been asked by both NYC and San Antonio to become a full time teacher but declined since I prefer freelance work. I worked in the corporate world until quitting in 2000 to pursue careers as an entrepreneur and tutor. I moved from San Antonio to NYC in pursuit of more technology driven business opportunities. One side benefit of NYC is that one of my favorite hobbies is acting.

I am available for online tutoring. For home tutoring please message me for availability.

It is also critically important for
students to learn the tactics of test taking in the process of gaining every advantage. In addition, learning the theory is much more important the memorizing the formula.

About Hayley
Hello! I am about to go into my senior year at Miami University as a Music Major with a focus on vocal and general music education. I have been trained in singing for almost 8 years now and have experience with music theatre, opera, classical voice, and choral performing. I can help students with a variety of goals to performing/ auditioning or music theory, aural skills, and music reading. I have worked with all ages from kindergarten to adult and will gladly work with any age! This past year I had several vocal students and even helped one prepare and audition for the voice department at Miami and they were admitted. In the past few years I have had multiple teaching opportunities through music education courses and also at a local church.
My focus for students is to encourage musical and performance excellence: proper singing t
echniques, learning to read music, and creating characters for repertoire. My approach to teaching voice is different for every student and what they need. But I will challenge every student to always do their best and improve after each and every lesson.
I will NEVER give up on any student!

She truly cared about my development and sought to bring out my best through both instruction and encouragement. Hayley seems to have an excellent handle on elements of vocal technique and teaches them in a way that is easily understandable by music majors and non-music majors alike.
