Improv Acting Lessons in Prattsville. Amazing Teachers.

I am an actor/director with advanced experience in classical acting, physical acting, clown, improvisation and children's theatre. We will focus on character creation, unleashing your imagination, and utilizing your whole instrument (your body) when acting. We will discuss what areas of acting bring you joy and how to bring your unique perspective on the world into your acting. Most importantly, we will have fun!

I offer Acting training with three different types of focuses:

-Acting Lessons: If you are interested in the craft of acting and want to become a better artist I create a weekly/monthly lesson plan which will serve your unique needs. Lessons will be based around your experience level, your interests, and your end goal as a performer.

-Audition Coaching: Monologue/Scene/Side coaching for anything from a Community Theater audition to a callback for Chicago Fire. We will attack your audition material from analytically, psychophysically, and psychologically.

-Acting Industry Coaching: What does an agent do? How do I get noticed by a Casting Director? How can I get to perform in a Motion Picture? What type am I?
The focus of my Acting Industry Coaching is to expose the actors to all the industry tools and info that can make them successful. Explaining Unions, how a headshot can get you through the door, and how to figure out type are what I focus on in these lessons.

Learn to analyze your audience, use your body, find your voice, project, build character, work with lines, understand beats and rhythm, build confidence, project, and more....

I have extensive training in improvisational acting from East Carolina University in North Carolina and I've been teaching acting students since 2007. Students learn quick thinking, free movement, and artistic expression through acting exercises and games.

Improv acting is a completely different realm of theater. It requires you to think on your feet and to be able to turn a situation that meant nothing to you five seconds ago into an entire scene. It explores every corner of your imagination. I will teach you different improv exercises as well as games. I will get you sharp so you're ready for any improv situation.

I have worked as a drama teacher and actor for 10+ years, hold a BFA in Theater Performance and BA in Education. I have trained with the great Anthony Robert Grasso and Christian Keiber for film technique (as well as several other Shakespearean actors and casting directors.) As an actor I have appeared in multiple award winning short films, the History Channel, and an Amazon Feature Film.

I have tons of knowledge of different acting techniques to pull from to ensure that you are receiving the perfect acting tool box catering to you!

I've worked with many young actors, as well as older and I'm not just offerring acting classes. I'm also happy to provide industry insight to young actors looking for their next move, public speakers who are looking to gain more confidence and impact, and (through my work with Multiple Intelligence Theory) I offer the use of the arts in tutoring to help students in their core subjects!
