30min increments: For =< 60mins lesson, you have to come near to my place; I will come to your place at >= 90mins.

We will go through basic concepts and exercises to develop skills to have a thorough understanding of the subject.

• Help with high school and middle school curriculum in math, quantitative sciences, social sciences, writing. Help with IB & AP classes and corresponding exams.

Having worked as a tutor for the past five years, I have extensive experience tutoring math for high school and middle school students and have a demonstrated history of score improvement and mastery of subject material by my students. I work with students of all levels and abilities on academic work and test prep. I also have past experience working for two summers as a TA in local summer school math classes. During those summers I tutored one-on-one and in small groups, taught full classes, and worked with students on in-class exercises Pre-algebra ranging up to Algebra 2. From this experience, I developed a passion for helping students gain confidence in math and build their skills.

Let me start off by saying that math is my FAVORITE subject! In these tutoring sessions, you will receive help with homework, prepare for tests and quizzes, and better your overall understanding of math. I teach with patience and fun because I feel that this is the key to achieving goals and inspiring a good work ethic.

I'm an experienced math teacher of 5 years and I love helping others to discover the excitement and beauty of math! I believe that everyone has the ability to do math, and I work to tailor my lessons to each student's unique way of thinking. Most of my teaching experience has been with students who do not naturally gravitate towards mathematical thinking. I enjoy finding ways to translate math concepts into various forms so that students can understand them more easily. Sometimes that means drawing a picture or using a metaphor - I keep exploring with my students until we have found the solution together. My goal is to give my students confidence and tools to be able to master math on their own.

I have been tutoring in Geometry for the past year and have learned/used Geometry since I first learned it in high school.
