I'm a visual learner so it figures that Geometry was my favorite math course in high school. Geometry can be difficult for many students. However, passing it is a requirement in every high school I'm aware of. I'm here to make the process easier. But, I'm not here just to help students pass, I'm here to help them achieve mastery. During the first few sessions, we work on basic concepts in Geometry, from rotating to translating shapes, to finding area, surface, area, and volume. Based on comprehension, I move to proofs, of which I have endless practice exercises to ensure that students achieve advanced proficiency. After proofs, I introduce basic trigonometry and more. This course of action is subject to change depending on student needs, especially if a student is struggling with current material in school.

I remember having trouble myself with some prealgebra and algebra concepts in the 8th grade. With a little after school help from my teacher, I was back on track and did well. In high school, most of my classmates had to start with high school level algebra as freshmen. I tested out and was able to go straight to geometry.
Later in life, I was teaching these same skills to young and older adults who were studying to earn their GED. The math section of the GED is where most do poorly and I'm proud to say that over 50 of my GED prep students received their Maryland State High School Diplomas!

I am a math instructor, teaching small classes as well as individual lessons. I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Puget Sound in 2016 and am open to all ages and all levels. I would cater lessons to the student's specific goals and strive to help them better understand difficult concepts as well as build a solid foundation for higher level math.
