Our lessons are all about discovering what you want to write. Through playfulness and fun exploration, we'll figure out what stories you're excited about telling, and what form they'll take. There are no right or wrong answers in a writing lesson with Matt - the goal is to unlock your creativity and help you become the kind of writer you're meant to be.

My background as a teaching-artist has provided the opportunity to work with numerous arts-education programs as a playwriting instructor and to develop a curriculum that can support various writing objectives. The focus of my online classes will introduce the importance of choosing a clear THEME, supported by a well structured PREMISE. Using skills and techniques borrowed from playwriting concepts, our ongoing classes will explore the importance of developing a clear narrative that communicates well-defined [character] objectives. These basic disciplines can be adapted to serve a range of writing needs: from essays to proposal presentations.
