The classics and emergent literature of the North American continent and American expatriates writing in different countries represent an indispensable conduit and upgrade to any of the subjects from the current teacher’s profile. This literature is exemplary for its offbeat, innovative writers, as the Beats, and global avant-gardists as the New York School of poetry. Nevertheless, students will find the gamut of moral, social, and existential themes that distinguish any classic literary cultural expression. Students can use recommended literary readings to deepen and broaden the quality of learning for such current topics, as accent training, writing skills, ESL, and TOEFL/IELTS. Vocabulary lists can be extracted and developed from the literature for attainment of higher test scores and to further minimize/moderate accent-related speech concerns. Emotional expressions and cultural insights intensify the immersion students require to adequately reflect common English parlance. ...

I enjoyed the lesson very much, he started out teaching things that made sense so that I would learn faster than the lessons I have previously taken and not done well with.
I'm looking forward to the next lesson and am practicing what we went over in class.

Erol calmly and clearly answered all my Publisher questions. He also was kind enough to give me "extra" information about my computer system and how I might upgrade it. Erol is a valuable resource (and person :) ) and I will be using him again in the future.

I am a recently retired university professor with 37 years' teaching and research experience in organic and bio-organic chemistry at two major U. S. State universities. During the past 18 years I have served as an MCAT content contributor by providing "units" (passages + questions based on passage content) to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the agency that produces and administers MCAT. I currently tutor students worldwide by using interactive Skype and Google Hangouts with screen sharing. The screen sharing feature permits chemical structures, formulas and reaction mechanisms to be drawn onscreen in real time during tutorial sessions. All visual materials produced in this manner are saved as jpg files and sent to students as email attachments at the conclusion of each tutorial session. In addition to one-on-one tutoring, Students are provided with study and review materials, practice problems and sample exam questions that I know from experience are likely to ...

Dr. Alan was super helpful and patient. He knows organic chemistry very well and can explain the material in a way that anyone can understand.

I was getting really discouraged with MCAT studying and practice, so I decided to contact Dr. Alan.
He is extremely knowledgeable in general chemistry, organic chemistry and biochem. He also knows how the MCAT exam is designed and written. He is a great source of information.
Furthermore, he prioritizes making sure his students understand why certain answers are wrong or right. He is very detail oriented and really wants his students to understand the material.
Dr. Alan tutored me online, and shared his screen with me while working out chemical reactions and problems. He then saved all of that work and emailed it to me, so I could refer to it later.
Dr. Alan definitely tries to provide his students with the resources to succeed. He sends his students extra practice as well as power points and tutorials on information that he knows is tested on the MCAT.
I am very glad I contacted Dr. Alan, because he is a very dedicated caring teacher, and he really wants his students to do well. I would recommend him to anyone who needs some guidance on the MCAT!

I took AP Psychology in high school and is a frequent reader of psychology research (though most of it is behavioral finance which I apply to my day-to-day work). I stress long-term understanding instead of short-term memorizing of vocabularies.

I also have close to 8 years of math/science tutoring experience, which will surely come in handy!

About Bill

I have always been a self-studier in my entire life. Being able to learn with just books and your brain is a crucial skill to have! However, I know not everyone (and sometimes even myself) have the discipline and motivation to keep going during hard times. This is where a tutor would come in handy.

When I was younger I didn’t have an outlet to express what I felt. Especially coming from a black household that doesn’t really allow emotions to be expressed. I numbed the the pain through temporary methods before realizing that what I needed was the one thing I didn’t think I would ever use. Expressing emotions through writing can be real therapeutic! Doesn’t always be sad/emotional Poems though!!! Let us learn together!!

"First of all, Marie is a very pleasant person. Working with someone that is nice makes learning so much better. She immediately provided me with several new techniques for studying that will allow me to focus on the areas that I am struggling with. She broke information down to where it was easy for me to understand and reemphasized key points that she was teaching to ensure that I understood them. More importantly, she asked me if I understood what she was teaching me rather than assume that I comprehended everything immediately, which many instructors I've worked with do not tend to do. Lastly, she was also willing to adjust her schedule to help me get the study sessions in that I need. I'm glad that I am working with her to up my GRE score!"
