A chemistry lesson with me is unique because through my experiences as a chemistry teacher and tutor, I know which concepts will be challenging for students and will typically cause students to give up. I anticipate these obstacles and have developed techniques to help students approach them with confidence. I do this primarily through layered practices and low-stakes self-assessments. My goal is to help students to not only be able to reach a problem's solution in my presence, but also find the same ease when studying on their own and during quizzes and exams.

About Alexandra

Hello! My name is Alexandra. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with Master's degree in Chemistry and Bachelor degrees in Chemistry and Psychology. I have also completed all of the courses to satisfy the secondary education minor requirements (excluding student teaching). Currently I am pursuing a PhD

My students can expect to learn the basics of elementary level math such as fundamentals like how to solve addition/subtraction algorithms using a variety of strategies. In addition, I would love to help with specific areas of concern such as concepts like place value, rounding, fractions, counting money and much more. I can help my students overcome any challenges and weaknesses while learning math and excel.

From grade school to college, I enjoyed and excelled in the subject of English grammar. I am a mother of four and a teacher, and have had decades of experience teaching grammar to others, including preparing kids for specialized tests such as the SAT. Grammar is the foundation or building blocks that students need in order to speak and write effectively, and this is where every student should start if they are ever to master effective written and verbal skills.

About Anne-Marie

Hi, I'm Anne-Marie and I love to teach! I have been teaching for over 25 years and whether the subject is English, Music, College Prep or Italian, I love helping students reach their goals. I work hard to leave my students enlightened, encouraged and empowered. I have high standards and I really l

"Maurice is an outstanding educator, an educator that makes students feel capable and confident in accomplishing whatever academic goals they may have or struggle with. He puts all his focus on what students first need to learn in order to get to their goal. He's one of the most understanding educators I've had the pleasure of working with. His patience, regardless of the students difficulty on grasping the academic concept is astonishing. If a student isn't understanding one learning style, he'll try a different way until the student does."

"Instructor Mingla is awesome. She has been working with my 9 years old daughter for quite some time now. Ever since my daughter started her online math tutoring sessions with Mingla she is doing excellent in math. She was a B+ average student in math and now she is an A average. Mingla has a lot of patience to deal with kids and she makes sure they understand what she is teaching them. I can openly express this because I see how she is with my daughter. After each of her math sessions, my daughter always let me know how much she learned and how she is so happy she is able to understand math problems easier the way Mingla explains them. I truly recommend instructor Mingla for your children's needs in Math. She is a very dedicated individual who works very well with kids! Highly recommend her!"
