Ms. Qi is a very accessible and diligent teacher. My son can be difficult, but she found ways to quickly connect with him and get him to open up. She accommodated his need for assistance with his regular work, but encouraged us to "start again" with Chinese which is probably a good idea. Very much appreciate her experience and enthusiasm.

My 7 year old son had been taking chess lessons with Andrew for almost a year and a half now. My son was curious about chess but didnt really enjoy playing until his interest and confidence grew with each lesson. Andrew is patient and is great at assessing his level and teaching tactics accordingly. His knowledge and analysis of the game is incredible. My son is now rated at 1000 and playing competitively bc of Andrew and I cant recommend him enough.

"My grand-daughters (10-14) visited Crafty Table during the Thanksgiving Holiday of 2014 when they traveled to Chicago from Phoenix, Az. They were introduced to hand-stitching & how to thread a sewing machine. They made wallets& pillows from a wide variety of fabrics & stuffing material. They arrived hesitant of their skills but left capable of describing their projects in-depth. Using millinery terms. They even helped me to construct a beautiful pillow that I treasure from that day. The Crafty Table Sewing Day with their Chicago Grandma ranked higher than Navy Pier in their memory banks!"

"I am thankful I found this astrology teacher. She is amazing at showing a beginner student how planets, signs, and houses may interact and influence one another without using an overwhelming amount of words that you can't understand at beginner level. Her way of teaching is almost like a mini-reading where you can gain insight into both how astrology works and how your chart is influencing who you are/why you feel/do things. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants to learn astrology!"

"Anne is a great sewing instructor. I was able to understand how to use a sewing machine and am more comfortable using one. The pillow case project I worked on was a fun project to do. The easiest way to learn how to sew is by doing it and practicing. It's definitely easier learning how to sew with the teacher next to you and answering your questions. I highly recommend Anne as a sewing instructor."

I'm ambidextrous, a lefty by nature but do many things with my right and Amy was able to show me both left & right ways of knitting to see which one was more comfortable for me. She is knowledgeable and extremely patient, upbeat personality and makes learning fun. My 9yr old took a class with her and loved it. Don't hesitate, Amy is awesome."
