I have been coaching chess for many years. What makes chess lessons unique with me is that I make the chess lessons exciting, fun to learn, I point out mistakes/weaknesses in a very kind way, I give good examples of moves/positions relate to real life, I teach people the psychology of playing chess, and I improve people's game through love and repetition. I teach several opening variations as well as middle-game and end-game tactics. But I focus on what people's weaknesses are and I make those weaknesses their greatest strength.

In this lesson, students can expect to learn how to plant flowers, peppers, and tomato plants in nice rich soil and pots. We will use seeds for the flowers, pepper plants, and tomato plants. We will start with paper cups and soil. By the end of May, we will transfer our flowers and vegetables to a garden. They will learn what plant food they can use and how much water they will need to make it grow. They will also learn how to weed their plants and clip off any dead part of the plant. I will start this lesson in mid-April and go through the end of May so we can see progress and growth of the plants.

Often this excitement is tempered by the fear of using a sewing machine. I start by encouraging them to do some easy sewing projects for children, so they can get comfortable with using a sewing machine. It is also a great way to learn some very basic sewing skills. The following projects are quite simple, quick and u …
