I'm a fashion designer and have been working in fashion industry in NYC for more than 8 years with a fashion design degree from Parsons. I worked at companies such as DKNY, ELIE TAHARI, BLK DNM, VISTORIA’S SECRET. My specialty is sewing, patternmaking, draping, tailoring and fitting. I have a great passion in teaching and extremely patient. The courses provide the best quality and hands on sewing skills used in the industry. If you would like to learn how to draft a pattern from scratch or alter your own clothes that would fit you, I will show you how to achieve that step by step. I look forward to having a great sewing time with you.

Vena is very patient and knowledgeable and answers all the questions I have for her. We have very varied lessons and they are all very informative. I'm excited to continue my classes with her.
I have never sewn before and after two hours with Vena, I felt very confident in altering my pants. She has a great teaching style and an even better personalty. I am excited for my next lesson!
Very knowledgeable and patient...looking forward to the next class.
Great lesson. Vena was very patient and instructive. She answered all my questions and made it easy for me to remember.
She is awesome!
very good teacher! thanks
So patient and experienced! She really helped save a project that another teacher abandoned! Will definitely be seeing you again!
Vena is a phenomenal teacher. She really ensures that you understand the concepts fully when teaching and doesn't rush through anything to fit it within a certain time frame. In our first day, she helped me learn the semantics of patternmaking and sewing and apply it visually to a dress form! For any beginner or someone who needs to solidify their foundation, Vena is a great instructor!+ Read More
Had my first lesson today and Vena showed me many tips on how to lay out the pattern properly on the fabric and reviewed what the pattern symbols mean. I learned things I never knew and, as we went along, she gave me the reasons why things are done a certain way which is good so it'll make sense and I won't be as likely to forget them. I'm very happy and can't wait for Lesson 2.+ Read More
