About Francis
Hi everyone! I'm a hard-working musician with a background in live performance, songwriting, composition, and home recording. I want to help you perform the music you love, whether you're playing to your family, your webcam, or a 15,000 seat arena. I have been teaching private music lessons since 2007.

I am a graduate of UCSD, where I completed my bachelor's degree in music theory and composition. I have taken years of private lessons, played bass, guitar, and mandolin in local and touring bands, and my music has been featured on at least 7 albums. I want to make your goals accessible, and I want to help you find your sound.

*** Lesson Details ***
I focus on making lessons fun for my students. I emphasize the importance of practicing on your own and building confidence by performing live and/or writing your own songs. I love to hel
p people get better at sounding like themselves.

During lessons from me, you can expect to play, sing, clap your hands, and become completely immersed in the music you love. Whether your goal is to perform in front of an audience, record albums, or just play for fun in your living room, I'll help you make that happen.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Music room, seating available, street parking.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I only teach students who provide their own instrument. I am willing to provide a loaner guitar for the week if a student's instrument needs to be repaired or is not accessible for any reason. I also provide homework when necessary :)

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in teaching confidence in performance practices, technique, singing and playing, and good microphone habits for singing, speaking, recording, and songwriting. I teach based on student needs, and I find each student benefits from a different curriculum.

Francis is an incredibly personable, professional, and informative instructor. He helped me hone my speaking voice for performing spoken word poetry, and offered really tailored, constructive feedback along the way. I'm so glad that I committed to taking speaking lessons. The entire process has been positive.

Hello! You want to learn to sew? I'm Timpla and I can help you!

FEEDBACK FROM MY PREVIOUS STUDENTS:

"It was great! I learned so much about my sewing machine."

"Had a great time Timpla! I was able to hem my daughter's skirt and repair a shirt sleeve. Looking forward to next time."

"I definitely benefited from the class! Thanks so much!!!"

I LOVE helping my students conquer their "fear" of the sewing machine, which unleashes excitement about their potential to sew unique items for themselves and others.

I've been sewing since I was a young girl, learning from my grandmother.

My experience includes sewing women's and girl's apparel, home decor, and quilts. I decided to start teaching private and group lessons after receiving many requests from friends and acquaintances.

I look forward to helping you develop the
skills you need to tackle any sewing project.

About Matthew
Hello, there! My name is Matthew! I've been teaching private lessons since 2014 and have loved helping my students learn the knitting/crocheting basics, expand their understanding of their abilities, and find a proactive way to relieve stress and bad moods. I teach knitting English or Continental style, multiple cast on methods and when to use them, different increase and decrease methods achieving different looks depending on the pattern and desired outcome, and finally different bind off methods.

I knit and crochet for a high fashion handcrafted company (The Third Piece), I have an Etsy shop, and am commissioned to crochet for international competitions. I'm a kind and outgoing person and my teaching style is relaxed yet focused, goal oriented, and fun! Knitting and crocheting are wonderful ways to express yourself, relieve stress,
and to make gifts for multiple occasions. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I focus on applying astrology in a way that becomes applicable and practical. This approach helps business and private persons navigate their lifespan without the need to be particularly spiritual or holistic.

I believe that the best way to learn is to enjoy the process. My teaching style relies on creating good chemistry with my student so that hard work comes naturally and outside of the classroom from natural interest.

As your teacher, I am qualified to give you the tools to learn astrology for yourself, or to provide spiritual counseling on any aspect of your life, business, or relationship. I hope to fulfill your needs no matter the challenge!

About Bernadette
I have been knitting for twelve years and I have ten years of teaching experience. I have taught all of my children and the neighborhood children to knit and enjoy uplifting the spirits of others with this beautiful art.

I am located in California and am available on webcam only unless by appointment in person. My primary focus when tutoring is to ensure that the experience is a happy one and the student learns the requested skill and is more confident about knitting that before we engaged. Yarn is very forgiving. Knitting takes patience and time but is very relaxing. I enjoy every moment of it.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

I enjoy knitting everything and with every type of yarn. I do not discriminate. The only type of yarn I do not like is the yarn that runs out in the middle of a project. I enjoy knitting for charity and for those in ne
ed. I donate to hospitals and I knit for people that are battling cancer. I encourage others that I teach to knit with the same amount of love and compassion. This is a great passion of mine and I want to share my passion with the world. This is a lost art and I want to continue this wonderful art to every generation. I am also on instagram at #detsysknitting.

LESSON DETAILS

Please inform me what you would like to learn, what your want to make before the lesson to avoid wasting time. I would also like to ensure that I am prepared with materials, equipment, books, etc. to ensure full learning occurs. The student is expected to bring their equipment.

Bernadet teaches knitting so smoothly and gracefully. Shes not easily aggravated when you don't get it and is so reassuring and kind. I had never knitted before and now have 3 projects going. She's a great teacher I highly recommend her.

I learned to knit when I made a scarf. I have been knitting for 2 years. Bernadette taught me how to knit when I was only 8 years old. Bernadette is the best knitting teacher because she knows a lot about knitting and she won't go faster than you are ready to go. She moves at the right speed. She knew when I needed help and she taught me how to pearl too. I liked learning how to read a pattern and how to use different yarns.

I am 12 years old. Bernadette taught me how to knit when I was 9 years old. She it explains it very well and if you get stressed she will help you out. When I make a mistake with what ever I make she will fix it and tell what I did wrong. I won first place for a art contest with my knitting. I made a wash cloth. I love knitting so much.
