A professional dancer myself, I strive to bring my experience and expertise into each lesson. We will begin with a physical warm up, followed by floor work and some choreography. Each lesson is crafted specifically with the student's unique goals in mind. I believe the best learning environment is a positive and supportive one, and I strive to truly help my students understand dance technique, while having a good time.

I have been teaching for over 25 years and I am both a certified Irish dance instructor (T.C.R.G.) and adjudicator (A.D.C.R.G.). I have created a successful online learning program that incorporates weekly online class sessions with support instructional videos and music that you can access at times that work for you! It is a self-paced online learning system that moves with you, not ahead of you, where you will find encouragement and accountability while setting goals and meeting bench marks as you journey through Irish dance, music, history and culture.

KatieRose is a professional dance teacher and coach as well as the Associate Choreographer for the Tony award-winning Broadway musical HADESTOWN. KatieRose has been teaching for over 15 years and specializes in working with students from the most beginner to the most advanced. KatieRose made her professional debut at age 16 as a ballet dancer before switching to modern dance and then finding musical theater. She loves teaching musical theater, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and modern classes. She also loves helping her students find their artistic voice through choreography classes. I am a classically trained dancer with 20 years experience in performance. I have always been passionate about historic costumes and was introduced to historic dance while getting my degree from Ga. State University. I am currently the director of the Atlanta Historic Dance Company. I've performed, taught and choreographed for performances on stage, at historic events and in the film industry for the last 10 years.
Historic Dance can run the gamut between beginning level dances up to professional level performance. I can tailor your lesson to fit your needs. The most popular lesson at the moment is the 1920's Charleston. I can also offer lessons in popular social dances from the Renaissance up through the 1960's.

Experienced performer of 13 years and teacher of 5 years, specializing in technique from beginners to advanced dancers! All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student.
