You'll learn how to stop your nerves and work with your nerves so they serve you and not strangle your talent. Having coached actors for many years, technique and performance are my specialities. You'll learn detailed exercises that will bring your individuality and passion to any script. You will learn how to let go of non-productive habits that impede your creative process and how to increase use your vocal and physical expressiveness. You will learn exercises and insights that will increase your ACTOR TOOLBOX so you are equipped to face rehearsals and performances.

I am an Two-Time Broadway Award Winning Actor that has performed starring roles on Broadway and International stages around the world. I have appeared as a recurring guest star on FX’s hit show “You’re The Worst” as Dan Parnell. Other TV appearances include ABC’s “Switched at Birth”, CBS’s “Criminal Minds”, Nickelodeon and many other Principle leading roles on Film and Television. With over 20 years of Acting and Teaching experience, I will provide you with specific tools and techniques that will give you the confidence you need to OWN your auditions and make a lasting impression to Casting Directors, Producers and Agents. Each Lesson will consist of a check-in on your goals in relation to acting. Feel free to bring in scenes, or monologues you are wanting to work, or we can look for other material as well. Work highly focuses on character circumstances, and developing a journey.

CANCELATION POLICY: Students must communicate any cancellations or adjustments 24 hours in advance to avoid charges. Any cancellations made to lessons within the 24 hour window will be charged if unable to reschedule within the same week.

Cherilyn has had 40+ years experience as a working actor-singer, performing leading and supporting roles Off-Broadway, in regional and local theatre, on national and international tours, TV, concerts, commercials, cabaret and voice-overs as well as internationally with the USO. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA. She has appeared with Hollywood and Broadway celebrities Joel Grey, Alexis Smith, Ron Perlman, Kelly Bishop, Randy Graff, John LaMotta, Janna Robbins, J.P. Dougherty, Merlin Olsen and Victoria Principal.

For four years, Cherilyn was a popular radio talk show producer and host, featuring an arts and entertainment show weekly. She is an experienced speechwriter, acting-speaking coach.
