Teresa was awesome! She worked with me and my limited flexibility and really set me up for success with exercises to integrate into my routine. She was also very cognizant of a prior injury and presented long term alternate solutions to tissue regrowth. I really look forward to working with her again!

She was really great, we have only had one lesson so far but she made me feel very comfortable and I feel like she will be perfect for me helping me get over my stage fright. She came up with quite a few ideas up front and can tell she is taking it seriously, which makes me even more confident in her because it is such a serious issue for me. I am looking forward to working with her.

Meet your dance instructor. I have my bachelors degree from Chapman University in Theatre & Dance. My training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Folk Dance, Dance History, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Improv, and Kinesiology, among other dance-related subjects.
I grew up in a small Illinois town. Lessons were few and far between, so I would copy dancing off of movies and videos in order to perform at local dances, or for other community events. As a youth, I took country line dancing classes. Always drawn to anything involving dance and movement, I auditioned and performed with a Disney Showcase Troupe. By high school, I was choreographing for the Show Choir, as well as, performing in theatrical productions, including the musical “The Wizard of Oz”.
Before graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Theatre & Danc
e from Chapman University in Orange, California, I continued my study of many dance styles & techniques such as: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Dunham Technique, yoga/stretch, Dance Business & History. From 1996-2001 I performed a variety of dancing and singing roles in showcases and events such as “American Celebration” and “The Story of Rock n’ Roll”. While studying at Chapman, I accepted a position as historian, and eventually, vice president of the performing arts society (PASC).
When I wasn’t onstage, I could be found backstage working lights, sound, costuming, or stage management. I searched out other educational opportunities at Cypress College and the Taggart International School where I studied West African dance and Russian Ballet Technique. After performing a liturgical dance performance for my graduation ceremony, I toured the United States and a portion of Canada, researching dance around the world. This eventually led me to Jacmel, Haiti, where I studied cultural and social dances of the local people. After that I took up Bellydance and studied folk dancing in Chicago, Illinois.
Since 2001, I have taught classes for all ages from infants to adults. I have also studied child development and have a special love for bringing an adoration of the arts to the youngest artists in our communities. It is imperative that all my teachings highlight body positivity and the belief that everyone can dance. A life-long learner and dance aficionado, I continue my dance studies in Ballroom, Baroque Dance, and Scottish Country Dance. My influences include Isadora Duncan, Katherine Dunham, Sean Greene & Misty Copeland. I love being a part of the DA Dance Family.

My little just started dancing because her big sister dances. She is a shy one but warmed up to Miss Chrystie and loves tapping with her. She plays music that she loves and is helping her learn how to tap dance in a fun way!

Chrystie is so amazing! She's honest, fun, and dedicated to the kids!
I grew up in Denmark in Europe and have spent my whole life dancing with The Royal Danish Ballet. I've danced every ballet in the book; Swan lake, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland and about one hundred more and worked with countless of choreographers, instructors and teachers and I absolutely love sharing my knowledge and my anecdotes from my fortunate career. Come and dance with me!
Born in Denmark and classically trained at The Royal Danish Ballet, she has performed hundreds of performances, all over the world including Palais Garnier in Paris, Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, The Royal Opera House in Oman, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, Olso Opera House and the David Koch Theater in New York City. She has performed spectacular pieces such as Kylián’s Falling Angels, Balanchine’s Swan Lake, Bournonville’s Napoli and La Sylphide and Twyla Tharp’s Come Fly Away. Debuted as the Swan Queen in Balanchine’s Swan Lake at the Harris Theatre with Ballet Chicago. .
Benita understands how to teach passion and expression to others. She has the unique talent not only as a dancer herself but as a teacher to bring than on to her students. Very few teachers can do that.
To quote from Mozart in the jungle.
She dances/teaches with the blood.
Don’t make your body fit ballet. Make ballet fit your body. 💜
Hello! I’m Ronesha Butler and I just graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance. (Spring 2019). I also just got back from a month trip in Tuscany, Italy dancing at the Accademia dell’Arte! I love dancing ballet, modern, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, majorette, praise dance, and some hip-hop. I would love to have more teaching experience and spread the knowledge that I have gained throughout the years for my love and passion of dance.
I teach from the understanding that our bodies set the limits. We can push them but we must respect them. I encourage those who are afraid to try ballet to be brave and discover what ballet can offer your body at any age. Ballet will make you strong in more ways than any other sport. You feel it from the inside out.
I enjoy teaching with a respect of a beginner. That means any age can be taught if they are humble no matter what the level of dancer. I love to share the love of dance in my soul. I’m the kind of dancer that makes the music dance. The music is the biggest teacher along with your own body. If you slow down you’ll feel the waves.
I am a professional Dancer and Dance Teacher. I started teaching and assisting at my home Dance Studio in Virginia, and just never stopped. I’ve truly enjoyed teaching as a means to Supplement my Career, and as a Student of Life I’ve enjoyed continuing to grow and learn with my Students. It brings me much joy to share my love of dance and movement, I’m grateful to connect with others through this art form.
I love teaching Ballet to any level of Explorer. I can also help properly train those ambitious and training seriously. I am quite equipped to teach Jazz, Contemporary, and Modern. I’ve loved learning as much as I can about every diaspora or Dance and Movement Language.

Refine and strengthen your technique in classes taught by a Professional Dancer! Jennifer has been teaching for 10 years and holds a Bachelor's of the Arts in Dance Pedagogy from Butler University. I believe dancing should be a joyful experience and spark positivity throughout all aspects of a dancer's life. I teach tap, ballet, modern and creative movement and specialize in audition preparation and improvement in technique. I want my students to reach their potential and aspirations as a dancer while having a wonderful time!
I am a professional dancer with a Manhattan-based company that tours the United States. I have been teaching ballet and tap for ten years, and graduated Cum Laude from Butler Universsity with a BA in Dance Pedagogy.
It is important in my class that students not only develop their technique, but experience the joy that comes when you are fully immersed in class. Each body is different, and a dancer's body is a body who dances. I teach my clients, no matter his or her age, to bring their personality into their movement.
My classroom is a place where we have celebrations of success, we work on improvement, and use positive approaches in order to achieve maximum results.
Whether you are looking to take lessons recreationally or are a serious student wishing to refine your technique, my class will help you reach your goals!
Jennifer has a lot of patience and experience. Really knows all the details of dance. You will love her.
