Chinese language learning materials as part of an integrated curriculum designed to motivate students in non-native Chinese environments to start speaking Chinese.
I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional musician and educator with solid experience in the classroom. For the past 25 years, I have been employed with Amati music academy and seven years on the faculty of University of St Francis. I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone color, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition. I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Double Masters in music performance and education from University of Nottingham. I am proficient in classical, jazz and Celtic fiddle violin and possess solid skills in piano (grade 8-13) Royal conservatory system. Throughout my teaching career, I have been driven to help students achieve their very best. I str
ongly believe that music has the power to change lives – to enhance the social, cultural and spiritual lives of people, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression. Professional perform experience: The Chicago, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Three tours with Moody Blues, YoYo Ma etc.... The most important thing I look for in a student is communication skills, as well as talent. I like to nurture students and help identify their individual strengths, which is a key factor in shaping a musical persona that will make its mark both on and offstage. I do not advocate a uniform technique for all students. Physical differences and learning styles are always taken into consideration. Potential is as important to me as early achievements and experience. My goal is to help students become self-sufficient, discriminating artists. I discuss practice techniques often and develop individualized scale routines. I encourage initiative and expressive musicality as well as precision. Above all, music needs to bring obvious joy to the student, regardless of the difficulties.”

I went to Pensacola Catholic High and graduated in 2003. I then attended and Auburn University, where I became a Christian, and graduated in 2007. Once I finished, I went overseas to teach English and do missions. I taught in Thailand from 2003-2007 and then in China from 2012-2016. I have been teaching since that time and am back home now to get my Master's degree in TESOL. I enjoy teaching people and watching their confidence grow as they learn new skills and develop new abilities. My teaching style is relaxing but challenging; as much as possible, I encourage and motivate students to have a love of learning, not just of this subject but of learning in general.

I am Russian and I teach Russian as well. I started teaching Russian 3 years ago, I absolutely enjoy the process of sharing my knowledge with students. Russian is such a beautiful language with a great history. I truly admire people who decided to learn Russian, I do my best to share my passion for the language with my clients.
I believe that when you learn a new language, you see the world through that language. Learning a language is not only about the language, it involves human communication, a sharing of ideas, culture, travelling, history, arts, personal and professional development. So my lessons always include a basic cultural section where I introduce culture and customs to the students or any other topic the learner interested in.
At my lessons, I have creativity and do my best to build an exciting and interesting learning experience. In practice I utilize interactive teaching methods and activities to motivate students to learn and communicate in a foreign language. I always use visual aids, such as software tools or videos and make students feel that learning a foreign language is fun and interesting.
I am happy that my passion for learning foreign languages became my profession. Teaching foreign languages for me is a Never-Ending Professional Development Journey. It’s a profession that allows me to be creative, work with a variety of different people, travel all over the world and inspire students not only academically but personally as well.

I'm a shy guy so when I went in for my first lesson I was really scared but my teacher was really kind and five minutes in I had completely forgotten that I was scared, and I learned so much. I went from knowing a very basic introduction to being able to ask for something, and knowing more words and it would take me ages to list off everything I've learned. Amazing teacher!

Great Mandarin Chinese tutor, 100% recommended! It was very easy to get started, flexible and you become an effective communicator in a short period of time! From day 1 I started learning stuff that I could use in real life, within months I am now having full conversations in Chinese, because I was learning the language I needed and topics I would normally talk about. Classes were so enjoyable and worth it!

Vivien is excellent at addressing issues in my playing, while also encouraging me to continue to do well what she deems good playing. She has a positive attitude every lesson and I always feel invigorated to practice more afterwards and put forth more energy into music. I am grateful to have a teacher that challenges me and gives me confidence in my skills.
I grew up in a tutoring business family and Mandarin Chinese is my mother tongue. Before I immigrated to the United States, I was a TV journalist in Taiwan. I also have my Master's from Georgetown University. I mastered Mandarin Chinese in both personal and professional dialects. I have been tutoring Math, English and Mandarin Chinese on and off for over 26 years. I adjust my teaching methods based on each student's personality to make the learning experience fun and easy. I'm also very fluent in English so I can explain the meaning of Mandarin characters better for students to understand easily. I believe language is a practical tool and learning Mandarin Chinese should be a joyful experience. I teach all levels from beginners to advancer, just tell me how you want to learn, and I will accommodate to your needs to help you learn Mandarin Chinese.
Hello, nice to meet you here! Charlotte is my English name that a priest pricked up for me when I traveled to Italy in the 90's, it means little and womanly which is opposites from my Chinese name(I'll tell you how to write it after you select me as your tutor). My Chinese name is very manly and positive just like my personality-- positive and a Tom boy.
I was born and grew up in a tutoring business family in Taiwan ( the free, democratic, USA-like small island next to China), Mandarin Chinese is my mother tongue. I was a TV journalist in Taiwan before I came to the USA to pursue my Master degree at Georgetown University in 2002. After the graduation I started working in American global corporations and lived between Taiwan and USA on and off due to works until I met my American husband in 2012 and I am an American citizen now .
rrently I'm an entrepreneur after my global marketing professional careers in American globalized corporations. I guess I was born with tutoring gene so I have passions about education and feel like sharing my knowledge about Mandarin Chinese with people who are interested in learning it will be fun and rewarding. It might also help people from two different cultures understand each other better.

I've been a learner of foreign languages for 15 years, I teach Chinese and English occasionally, as well as volunteer for cross cultural communication organizations to better understand the cultural context of languages. My goal in teaching Mandarin Chinese is to cater to each student's personal goals, be it conversational or to dive deep into the fascinating culture, I'll be able to provide assistance in realizing that goal.
I'm a marketing communication student from Beijing, China. I've been learning English for 15 years, and I came to the US during high school for a cultural exchange program. I think the immersive environment of a foreign language is crucial to the speed and effect of the learning progress. Even though it's not that easy to accomplish in another country, I still try to provide appropriate context to create an environment close to the native scenes. Personally I also study Korean and Spanish, which gives me a perspective on how to learn languages that from different language families, and to study at different ages. I've been volunteering for the same cultural exchange organization for 8 years, during which time I came to contact with students from different continents and native languages. I fully understand the obstacles of easing into M
andarin Chinese language system as beginners, getting comfortable with the grammar frame as intermediate learners, as well as the advanced written and spoken skills desired by advanced learners (as a Beijinger, I speak Standard Chinese aka Putonghua).

"Monique was a very good teacher. Sympathetic; knowledgable."
"Excellent teacher! My son, George (12), felt very comfortable with Guifang. My son had no prior experience with the Mandarin Chinese language, and Guifang
was able to introduce him to the language in a manner that did not leave him feeling intimidated about trying something new. Guifang also supplied him with extra materials (video , quizlet, voice recorder) via email. She was easy to reach and very flexible on scheduling lessons. We plan on continuing to work with Guifang and would highly recommend her to other students. Highly impressed!"
"Lipeng is an amazing pianist and violinist artist herself, however she is an even more splendid teacher. She is so patient and encouraging with a adult st
udent(I). Her technique and attention to music detail is amazing. She encourages relaxed recitals for students to gain confidence in a larger setting without pressure. my friends were impressed with my development and progress all along the classes because I had a great teacher! Would highly recommend!!!!"
