Using my vocal and acting training, I have worked with many students on improving their speaking voices for public speaking or voice-over work. I use Linklater , and Alexander technique combined with other training to help students overcome their fear of public speaking as well as their technical vocal issues, such as articulation, projection, breathing problems and modulating the voice in a pleasant way. I can help you overcome an overly nasally tone for example or a monotone voice.

About Wendy

I've been teaching private vocal instruction since 2003, and opened my own studio in 2008. I love helping people find their true, authentic voice, which I feel is essential not only for singers but many other people as well! Singing is a great joy, and the voice is one of our primary modes of expre

I love to write and I will impart that love to you. I have thirteen years of experience teaching writing, research, and public speaking at the university level. We each have a unique writing voice and I will help you find that voice within you and build self-confidence. I have worked with many students who were told by other teachers that they had no talent, but we proved them wrong!

Dr. Maggie Fry does everything in her power to help students achieve greatness. Her lectures are relevant, thorough, and engaging. She is equal parts witty and attentive; any feedback given is done so with an open mind. I believe that she has made me a better, more confident writer due to her encouragement - going out of her way to provide me with a list of publishers who accept student work. She gave me the courage to pursue my passion in life and finally declare my major as English with a concentration in writing.

I've been through almost 10 years of graduate courses on everything from the early days of Freud and Jung to modern experimental design and statistical analysis.
My personal passion has always been evolutionary psychology. I wrote my PhD thesis on the evolution of charismatic leadership - how and why human groups have the kinds of leadership and followership behaviors that we do, how they can help us respond to challenges like cooperation and competition, and how we can take what we know about the past to better understand current issues such as politics and economics.

About Allen

I'm a psychologist and world traveler, generally pretty laid-back, and I enjoy meeting new people and learning about new places. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and have been lucky enough to spend several years teaching english in the cities (and on the beaches) of Spain, and over a decade riding my b

"Monica is a wonderful teacher. She is patient and my son loved her from the first day. She has an easygoing demeanor and she makes math fun for him; she also sends a bunch of worksheets for him to work on in between. My son is entering 4th grade and I wanted him to work on some preview math skills before starting schoo. Monica was the perfect person I was looking for to work with him."

These classes helped me cultivate my love for marine life and the ocean while also motivating me to want my career to revolve around marine life and ocean health in some way. She is a very motivating, engaging, genuine, and caring teacher and I would 100% recommend her and her classes!"

"Marwan is amazing!
He impressed me already the first minutes of the first lesson he gave my son in AP Calculus BC by asking specific questions and pin pointing where my son might need help. After that he has come prepared and focused with materials for each tutoring session.
Marwan's piano credentials speak for themselves but I want to underscore that he is really good at adjusting to the student's level and making it fun. My daughter always tells me afterwards *it is so much fun with Marwan!*.

On top of all that, Marwan is a good, kind person and a really cool guy. You could not be in better hands."
