I'm a native Mandarin speaker without any accent as I'm from Beijing region. I have a certificate of PSC: Putonghua Proficiency Test Level 1(The highest level).
For adult students I usually help them with General / Business Chinese (Speaking, Listening and Writing) and Life in China.
For kids I help them with their Chinese homework and also college students to pass their school exams.
I give Individual Private Classes or Small Group Lessons (2-3 people). I provide a quiet place for class.
I also help people to practice their French conversation (beginner to intermediate level).

Originally from Shanghai, China, with a masters degree in Communications from University of Miami, I have lived and worked in the US for almost 6 years. I have tutored Chinese for the past 3 Years. My students would say my teaching is fun, motivating and encouraging. Chinese might be a difficult language to learn for some but I believe with practice, in an interactive learning environment I create, everyone can speak Chinese !
I have been tutoring different subjects since 2011. During the past three years I have focused on tutoring Chinese. I believe as intimidating as it may sound, Chinese is a language just like others. As long as you practice regularly, stay committed and learn in this fun, encouraging and motivating environment I create, you will be able to speak it.
Recently relocated to Naples/ Fort Myers area from Miami, I am looking to continue my passion in teaching Chinese. So if you are interested in learning one of the most spoken languages in the world, or if you want your kids to get ahead & be more competitive in the future business world, send me a message !

I am a recent graduate of UGA (3.8 GPA, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) with majors in political science and international affairs to go along with minors in both Chinese and Japanese. Although I myself am not a native speaker of the languages I tutor, I have extensive experience in each and can identify with students of these languages who are just starting out on their language learning adventures or want to step up from the beginner level. With students, I bring in a variety of media (videos, music, articles, calligraphy) which not only help students become accustomed to the language but also the context in which it is used, a critical component of language learning (especially in East Asia). I have travelled to Asia multiple times (including studying abroad in Singapore) and can draw from my experiences to provide a better understanding of the area.
I have always viewed helping people as one of the most important things I could do and my personal philosophy is that any activity is worth doing as long as you learn something from it and enjoy it. To me, tutoring is the intersection of these two ideas and can therefore fulfill my desire not only to help people but to provide them with a chance to learn something new. With tutoring, I can become far more acquainted with the students than in a conventional classroom, learn about what works best for them, and use all of my available resources to create a unique as well as effective lesson plan. As long as a person is willing to learn, I am ecstatic to help them reach their goals and become a more globally aware person. As for my methods, I could be described as a "by the book" kind of instructor who makes use of numerous textbooks or related materials to form a well-rounded lesson plan. For example, one session may be just learning vocabulary or grammar and then another week may be spent learning about the origins of the language or making cultural arts and crafts. It is not out of the ordinary for lessons to include a bit of everything if time provides. I stress reviewing the material often and because of that I may create flashcards, give homework, or provide access to certain resources online which may help the student memorize the material between lessons. If something needs to be reviewed, I will make sure it is well-learned before jumping to the next topic so as to make sure the student does not become lost amidst an avalanche of unfamiliar terms. I also like to integrate videos or my own personal experience into the lessons so the students may see the real-world applications of the skills they are learning.
