About Brandi
My name is Brandi, I have been singing since the age of 3, and writing music, recording and producing since the age of 12. As a teenager I began playing piano and guitar as well. I am a college graduate of Jazz Studies; with a focus in Music Business, and Music Production and Engineer and was a vocal principle at Berklee College of Music; I attended Cuyahoga Community College, and Berklee College of Music. During my years of college I've studied, musical arranging, ear training, breathwork, songwriting, and many private musical lessons and more. Post college I have taken vocal mastery classes in Atlanta, GA.

As a musician/singer I have performed in front of as many as 3,000 people, I recently had a full page feature in a magazine, as well as had FM Radio rotation for a song I wrote, sang and produced, and sold music on iTunes.

*** Lesson Details ***
What a student may expect from this teacher:
Within 3-6 months students shall a have a good grasp on the foundation of their instrument/ craft; have a controlled sound; be playing/ singing what he/she hears; stronger, more defined tone; be able to play through/ sing through at least one song; have expanded range; confidence; and of course tackling personal goals set within the lessons.

My Goal is to facilitate bringing out what greatness already lies within and to assist in that growth, as well as teaching new information and the how to apply. I am not very strict on notation, as far as reading music (Piano and Voice). Lessons with me will more consist of the meatier portion of music how to use the instrument, developing the sound, understanding chord structures, playing/ singing what you hear, techniques and how to put it all together musically. However I will go through musical notation and reading chords, but it will not be a focus. (If you desire to play/ sing classically, I may not be the best teacher for you.)

For MUSIC PRODUCTION: Producing musical tracks and recording artist is the root and the focus. The curriculum is sculpted from LOGIC PRO X, REASON and PRO TOOLS software (subject to change). Students learn how to create what he/she hears and how to format it all together; Students learn how to track and record/ mix in the most professionally used software; Mixing and Mastering shall be touched upon as well.

When it comes to teaching and application of knowledge for each student I am serious about his or her growth; I don't want anyone wasting their money or time, so practice and dedication is necessary.

About Takosha
I Attained a Master's degree due to a sincere love to teach hungry students. Within my professional history, I have been elected to become a certified trainer to teach representatives the importance of leading students to a higher education within the collegiate environment. It is my duty as a teacher, trainer and instructor, to empower students to believe and always be true to their voice and academic education.

In addition to voice teaching, I am an online college instructor covering general courses and business courses. I also provide continuing education courses for businesses and organizations. In addition, I am a home school teacher for my own children. Therefore, I am experienced in working with adult students and youth. Please see the list of subjects that I tutor and feel free to request a subject that may not be listed.

Voice and singing has been a part of my life since birth. I sing and lead others within the church and fellowship environments. While in the military, I formed a choir in Iraq during the Iraqi Freedom War and received the Director’s award. The choir was full of soldiers and airmen, and we were all given a sense of peace in the middle of war through the singing of blended angelic voices. I have performed in the U.S states and other countries for Generals, Colonels and the like. Locally, I support the military through events in singing the National Anthem for SCAD, Savannah State, and Armstrong Atlantic University. I also lead within the music ministry of Harvest Light Church.

I taught at Charisma Studios and worked side by side with students within the Broadway Dreams Foundation and many gifted people in Atlanta, Georgia. I have taught students within a Georgia State Youth Challenge program to challenge not only their voices but their character to move forward in life. I'm currently singing in Savannah and South Georgia areas. The voice inside of me grows daily and I live to share with others what I experience everyday of my life.

*** Lesson Details ***
When a student chooses to work with me, he or she will gain much strength through my teaching style. I enjoy listening to the student to pinpoint their individual need. I am very attentive to detail to ensure the student will receive everything that he or she has come to receive. I will do all that I can to the best of my ability, and with everything that I currently know and have learned. I learn from students everyday, therefore I am not the only teacher in the lesson.

When students reach the 3 month mark in voice, they will be able to hear themselves and correct their mistakes on their own. They will know if they are an alto, tenor or soprano or maybe all 3! These are the first steps to becoming a teacher themselves one day. At the 6 month point, students will have the confidence to be able to blend with other voices. If students pay attention and continue to practice they will be on their way to take steps to begin the solo and leading stages.

Within the aspect of academic tutoring, the students will learn new methods and techniques suitable for them in order to gain more confidence in the subject that is challenging them. Everyone learns differently, it is my passion to find out how the student learns and to apply the best practices and techniques to their learning experience to ensure their success in that subject.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Office/music studio setup with keyboard and computer.

*** Travel Equipment ***
The Voice
Subject Books and tools

*** Specialties ***
I teach students to sing from their diaphragm which helps them to breathe better while singing. It brings a smoother sound and it does not strain the voice. I also teach pitches and volume concerning specific songs being taught. The voice warm-ups and songs that are incorporated into the lesson, help to train the ear. It is important that a voice student learns how to hear the sound of music, so he or she can sing with any instrument including another voice:-)

Academically, I learn the student, so the student can learn.

About Luke
Hello everyone! I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful group of teachers from all around the country in order to teach students of all skill levels interested in furthering their education.

To be very brief about my knowledge and experience, virtually all of my music education has been "self taught", in the sense that I never had a formal teacher, ironic as that may be. I learned what I know from Guitar World magazine, books, experimentation, and playing with other musicians. Outside of this, I've taken many AP courses in high school in Latin, Social Studies, Music Theory, and English, with English being my planned major in college. I've tutored friends in school all my life in every school subject, and I've been teaching guitar formally for about two years now.

Obviously if you're here for anything else besides music, most of
this description won't apply to you. However, I hope that by reading on, you'll understand that the enthusiasm I have for music is the same I have for literature as well as religious studies.

*** Lesson Details ***

The main thing that I tell all of my future students is that I design a whole curriculum based around their interests. This includes not only how to actually play that particular style with your instrument of choice (though the guitar is what I play), but often times includes at least some of the history of the genre, the music theory behind each style, gear recommendations, and ultimately how you can continue to learn without needing a teacher through the use of autonomous resources; it all depends on how far you want to go. I seek to deconstruct any genre for my students so that they can grasp the style easier and, hopefully and more importantly, use the fragments to create their own work of art.

My homework looks a little similar to the homework in the “School of Rock” movie; I'll make goals for each student that I expect them to meet or preferably exceed in time for our next lesson, and I'll usually give them recommended listening material as either a goal to achieve, as personal inspiration, or simply as more influence to absorb. How high of expectations I have for a student depends on what their personal goals are.
At the end of the day, however, the most important thing to me is making the learning process fun, exciting, and dare I say unpredictable, and I want each student walking away from my lessons excited for their own musical future, whatever that may look like.

Incredibly helpful
Cindy was incredibly helpful, and really went "above and beyond" in every way. She's extremely knowledgeable and did a tremendous amount of research in order to supplement her work on this job. Saved me many, many hours of potential aggravation — I will definitely continue to rely on her for expertise with all things Lightroom/Photoshop/PostProduction for photography. Highly recommended!

Computer Challenged student gives her 5 stars plus!
Cindy was very patient and worked well with my low computer skill level. The class was very informative and fun. I believe we hit it off right away. I can't wait for my next class.
- Hope S., Snellville, GA

Very patient.
Cindy was able to untangle my Lightroom 6 update snarl with patience and humor. She has an excellent grip on the mechanics of Lightroom and communicates well. I recommend her highly.
- Elizabeth S., Middleton, MD

Excellent
Contacted Cindy a few months ago to help me to put together a slide show, clean up my photos, To say that I'm technically inept would be a compliment. At my age (you don't want to know) just about all these new programs give me the shakes. I was using a rather basic photo program and she recommend I take a look at Adobe Lightroom. I was notified that it would look a bit intimidating and was pretty aggressive. That was an understatement. Well, it's been a couple months now and I think the Adobe LR program is absolutely terrific. I've become quite proficient and the program is so inclusive that I'm sure, despite how far I've come along, it will always be able to do what I need with the help of Cindy. She has been very responsive, knowledgeable, organized and very patient. My lessons will be ongoing (every two weeks) and will build upon a strong foundation. Highly recommend Cindy.
- Tom K., Marietta, GA

--- LOCATION ---
I offer tutoring online via Skype and in person at the Alpharetta library.

--- SPECIALTIES ---
My professional photography is focused on portraits, events, and architectural work.

I've had coursework in History of Design and History of Art at the College of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
