I have been teaching Spanish, Portuguese and English at both the high school and college levels since 2007. I have a PhD in Spanish and Portuguese (Romance Languages) from Harvard University, and I have taught everything from Spanish 1 through advanced literature courses, to Portuguese for Spanish Speakers.

I have experience working with students with learning differences, and have worked with children and adults.

If you want to work with a real teacher who can design a class just for you, I am the teacher you are looking for!

Whate
ver your goals are with Spanish, I can help you get there! Get in touch any time to tell me about your goals. Hasta pronto!

About Andrew
I teach/tutor a myriad of topics and love doing it. I'm currently attending the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying aerospace engineering and computer science, so I love science and math (particularly when it has to do with space stuff). I'm super outgoing and a very laid back, chill person all at the same time (being like this has produced quite the stories). I also love food, a lot.

Working with others and helping them succeed has been something I've loved to do for a while now. While I was in high school, I was a coach for one of the local swim teams and had a blast getting to teach people how to swim and such, and the best part was getting to connect with those kids and seeing them succeed during the swim meets.

Once I graduated, I had the privilege to serve as a full time volunteer in Brazil for a couple years, where my
sole focus, every day, was to help others to improve the quality of their life. In doing so, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet new people everyday and see people's lives drastically improve. Another cool part of this experience was that I got to teach English as a second language to people who'd never spoken it before. They loved it, and in the time that I did teach it, students went from speaking no English to being able to form basic sentences and have simple conversations.

Now in college, I've strived to continue this pattern with the little free time that I get during the week and on the weekends due to my classes. Throughout all of this, I've discovered how easy it is for me to connect with people and how much fun it can be.

What I bring to the lessons:
I always ensure to provide the highest quality lessons and ensure that the student easily understands the materials. I'll provide materials that I know will assist the student to master the concepts.

My expectations:
Learning requires the student to put in effort. Any assignments I give, I will expect them to be completed. I understand that sometimes one of "those weeks" comes around where life hits us in the face, but it's not every week.

Your expectations:
You've come to me obviously to learn something new, and I intend to go above and beyond those expectations. I want the lessons to be more than just sit down, do the work, and then leave. That's not a great way to learn stuff, in my opinion. Expect to be brought out of your comfort zone a bit and experience things you never experienced before. Above all, expect to see these lessons as an enjoyable experience.

Isabel is teaching my daughter for the last month and half and words fail to express my gratitude and happiness to find her as my daughter's teacher. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and designs the class based on my daughter's ability. I already seen lot of improvement in my daughter's Spanish speaking ability and also she is feeling confident. I am recommending her to my friend's and family who are planning Spanish lessons for their kids. Apart from Spanish she is fluent in Italian, German, French and Portuguese. A person who is affluent in so many languages really has the ability to understand the tricks of the trade in learning new languages and teaching new languages as well. We are going to continue with her for few more months and I am planning to take lessons as well. Overall, we are very very pleased with her teaching skills. Big Thums Up.

I recommend her to everyone who wants to learn Spanish.

Isabel is a lovely person and I enjoyed learning a bit of Italian from her. Her teaching materials, though, were pretty amateurish. Seemed like this was the first time she'd taught Italian to a beginner. The various documents did not have titles like "Lesson 1", "Lesson 2" etc, and the pages didn't have page numbers so we spent too much time getting to the same page. Materials did not match the sequence she taught in so we jumped around a bit. These things can be remedied easily as she teaches more. The topics she chose to teach a beginner were what you'd expect so no complaints there. One good thing was that she was very available for the time slots that were most convenient for me. All in all I'm satisfied with what I learned in the time we spent together.

About Nate
I am a high school student in the state of Georgia.

As a student myself I personally understand the difficulties of school, as well as the pressure that is put upon students by their teachers and parents. I realize all people learn at different paces and with different styles and really hope to be able to help.

I have taught in special needs classrooms in the past and have experience working with mentally challenged students. I am happy to make lessons specific to certain students and help complete study guides or go over a quiz/test, to help correct missed problems to avoid missing in the future.

In my free time, I like to remain physically active, by running daily, hiking, going backpacking, and competing in races and physical competitions such as mud runs and savage races. One of my biggest passions that I enjoy spending my t
ime doing is photography, I take stills, action shots, close-ups, and senior pictures for a lot of students at my school.

I am also a cadet in the US Army JROTC program, where I have become third in command for the county. I have learned to work with others even when having different opinions or views, and I have become more comfortable talking and interacting with other people.

In my future, I am attending medical school on a full ride scholarship to become a surgeon for that Army. I will spend four years in the Army, and then transfer into the civilian world as a trauma or orthopedic surgeon.

About Ashli
Hi! My name is Ashli Adams and I have been a professional actress for over 20 years! I have several professional (TV/Film) credits and I have been in over 20 stage plays. In addition to my professional career, I have been studying acting for over 15 years and hold a bachelors degree in theatre acting from The California Institute of the Arts.

I began coaching and directing actors about 10 years ago. I can teach any age (5+) and any experience level, though, having been a child actor myself, I connect especially well with kid and teen actors. My teaching methods are rooted in several different techniques (method, Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky) but overall, my approach is one that immerses the actor in their work fully. Our sessions will engage your mind, body, and spirit with the hopes that you will become a well rounded and captivating arti
st and performer.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!
