About Hrant
I have a bachelor's degree and went to U.C. Berkeley right after high school. I am a unique tutor in that I also have an M.D.degree! I love working with children as well as adults, and I am very experienced. I have been tutoring students professionally in Math, Language Arts, Science, among other subjects since 2008. Before that, I taught remedial workshop classes for more than 2 years. After medical school, I spent more than a year training in a psychiatry program, so I utilize psychological principles when teaching. I also work very well with those who have learning challenges, such as ADHD. Currently, I am unlicensed to practice medicine.

*** Lesson Details ***
I cater my lessons individually to each student as each student's learning style is completely different. This way I maximize the learning experience each student has w
ith me. My experience with people in medical settings and in psychiatry gives me an edge to do this.

I was failing genetics and with online tutoring i went from a 69% to A. He really has your best interests in mind, when i asked him last minute to help and he was too packed helping other students he referred me to another well rounded tutor. dr. Z is worth the wait since he has a lot of patience for disabled students, he truly enables them. Thank you for helping me accomplish such a tough subject.

I just started nursing school at UCLA and had failed my first midterm. Dr. Z was really supportive and taught me how to study. He really knew how to teach the material. After tutoring with him on a daily basis, my grade went up to an A on the final, and I received an A- in the class ! Whoo!!!. This tutor is excellent in every way and I highly recommend him!

Let me start off by saying that math is my FAVORITE subject! In these tutoring sessions, you will receive help with homework, prepare for tests and quizzes, and better your overall understanding of math. I teach with patience and fun because I feel that this is the key to achieving goals and inspiring a good work ethic.

About Jessie
Thank you for your interest in lessons! I hope to help you achieve your goals and improve your skills, whether you're looking for music lessons, help in math, or need someone to proofread your essay before you turn it in. Every student is a unique person who deserves a lesson customized to their individual needs. Each of my students prospers in an atmosphere of patience and encouragement. While the lessons are fun and enjoyable, the serious student will be supported in the development of skills leading to a rewarding career, and the more casual students will grow in an appreciation of knowledge that will always enrich their lives.

I have been tutoring and teaching private lessons for over five years, and currently have over 40 active students. I received my bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on vocal performance at the Unive
rsity of Redlands in 2011, and my Associate of Arts degree in 2008 from College of the Desert. I teach online, locally, and at my studio, and cover a variety of subjects such as voice, music, theater, piano, math, english, music theory, just to name a few.

For academic tutoring (i.e. math, theory, vocabulary) I work on helping the student understand their homework and help prepare them for tests. I can also provide worksheets if necessary and am prepared to demonstrate problem areas in different ways if needed, because everyone learns differently. For voice, piano, music, and acting lessons I teach the student based on what their current level is. If you have no experience, that's okay! My lessons are uniquely designed to fit your needs no matter what level you may be.

As a music major I developed a deeper understanding of music theory, piano, voice, and theater. I received my A.A. in Music at College of the Desert and my Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Redlands- which I attended on a music scholarship. I have played leading roles in several operas and musicals in Southern California, including Gianni Schicchi, Die Fledermaus, La Boheme (DTL nominee), The Impresario, The Grand Duke, Patience (DTL award), Cosi fan tutte, Little Women, Seussical, and many more. I have also appeared in several concerts, opera scenes, competitions (winning music scholarships and theater awards), and worked as a singer in churches, restaurants, and in pop bands. I continue to stay active in the performance industry, because performing is a part of who I am and I could never live without it!

With this experience under my belt, I feel a desire to pass on my knowledge to students. I carry a strong passion to help people develop their abilities and make them their own. I truly believe that if someone wants something out of life they will achieve it with dedication, perseverance, confidence, and by having fun doing it!

*Note: My home office has a lot of stairs and two cats. If you are disabled or have a feline allergy, please consider in-home lessons or lessons online.

'Dr. Cliff,' a part-time college/university professor, teacher and tutor with 5 master's and 3 doctoral degrees in a variety of topics: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, MBA, Leadership, Education and Administration. About Clifford
'Dr. Cliff,' a part-time college/university professor, teacher and tutor with 5 master's and 3 doctoral degrees in a variety of topics: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, MBA, Leadership, Education and Administration. He has always used proven educational techniques to instruct undergraduate students, graduate students and school children/teenagers (K-12). Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students
and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.

In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

I gave William 5 stars because he's the best. He is good at what he does. When ever I was getting into a panic state, William will keep calm and cool as a cucumber.
He takes his time to explain concepts when you don't understand. he will keep working with you until you meet your objectives. I'm happy with my sections with him right now, and will keep working with him. He's one of the most pleasant person I have ever met. Thanks William.

My main goal is to identify knowledge gaps and fill them in. By having you work on problems I can begin to see the trouble spots and correct them. Once you can do the problem on your own I will have you practice it so that it becomes routine. I can also start lessons from scratch, for instance, if you missed some school or didn't understand any of it.

About Moses
I have been teaching Math and Science since 2015 and am currently available to teach at your home or location of your choice. I have helped students increase their grade from a D to a B, become honor roll students and to actually enjoy Math/Homework time.

I have a BA in Biology from City University of New York and was a biomedical researcher for 2 years after graduating. The best part of tutoring for me is that moment when a student's eyes light up with understanding or when they exclaim "Wow! That was fun". My teaching style is tailored to each student depending on their needs.

I keep it simple and fun! We will learn how to solve triangles using basic trig. I really enjoy tutoring logic, inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, and two column proofs. I connect with the student to create a logical and efficient two column proof based on deductive reasoning using theorems, postulates, and definitions. We have fun with proofs on popular topics such as parallel lines and congruent triangles.

About Madeleine
I believe students should be confident in their math skills. By getting good grades in school, their options in life (e.g. jobs, career paths) are kept open. I gauge where the student is at in knowing the concepts by having him/her work out the problems. Every problem has two parts: the first is recognizing what kind of problem it is (e.g. quadratic equation) and the second is the mechanics of working it out (e.g. arithmetic skills, factoring, quadratic formula). I keep it simple and fun! I have given students confidence in their math skills which has transferred into overall confidence in themselves. We both roll up our sleeves and do the problems together.
