Daniel tutored my teenage son in Algebra and Geometry for over one year. During that time, my son's grades increased and he became more confident with Math, in general. His time with Daniel set him up for success in Algebra 2 this year (11th grade). Daniel was always on time, very polite and courteous with my son! Highly recommend his tutoring service.

Progress through Weekly Exposure to and Practice of the Classical Piano Repertoire.

About Brent

I have thirty years of Piano playing experience and have taught Piano privately for the past six years. I have studied in private lessons for over ten years, with different teachers. (I have also performed extensively in the past as an Electric Guitarist for jazz, big-band, funk and metal bands.)

As a teacher of music (violin, voice, and choral) and a Classical singer, and colleague of Brent, I think the most important aspect of teaching is to take a personal approach with each student to see what "fits." Every student learns differently, and Brent recognizes that. He puts a tremendous amount of thought and creativity into the development of his students. Too many teachers today have a "cookie cutter" approach to teaching, and in my own experience, this turns students away from working on music later in their lives. Brent has the opposite approach, he is committed to developing the skills and love for Classical music simultaneously in the student, which has a more long-lasting affect on their schoolwork, concentration, character, and social life.
Guy A.
He is a very dedicated classic artist that is very knowledgeable in his profession. I strongly recommend that everyone work with him.
Cloret C.
Without reservation, recommend Brent as an enthusiastic and thoughtful instructor-mentor to those seeking to actually enjoy the experience of mastering music and piano in particular.
As an observer, I'm impressed with Brent's teaching method, and ability to rekindle in young adults the interest and enthusiasm they may have experienced in former times for playing music at the piano.
As a sensitive and proficient accompanist, Brent works patiently and conscientiously with the singer; putting one at ease, even performing the most challenging works of classical composers.

I have played at the house of blues multiple times (as a jazz combo, solo blues artist), and have over 10 years of experience playing blues guitar in rock/blues bands and jazz band at my high school and college.

You can expect to learn how to play both 12 bar and 16 bar blues, and the different chords/scales used in blues songs and improvisation. In addition, you will learn how to use scales to solo effectively, and the different guitar techniques many of the greats use to get that blues sound you are looking for. I have a home studio perfect for practicing blues that comes equipped with a PA system, mics, 2 electric guitars with amps, a bass/amp, and a drum kit.

About Kory

I graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Music, and have taught lessons for 10 years. I performed in Jazz Combo, Concert Choir, and Vocal Jazz, and played in numerous concerts and competitions. In addition, I am a songwriter, and have written many songs for my own band, and for other clients. I al

Guitar.... Kory knows how to play it!
Kory knows how to teach it!!
I explored learning on the internet a few times, then stopped a few times, without feeling much more comfortable with the instrument. Kory's guidance and expertise has been invaluable. Fingers are getting nice and dexterous, ear becoming finely tuned, and the guitar feels much less foreign. I'm not in it for the theory, but even the essential stuff has been easily understood with Kory's help. After one lesson, or even after watching his videos on here, it's easy to see his mastery, or rather, his union with the guitar; you know you're in good company. He can help pinpoint where you might be getting stuck, a slight change of hand placement, thumb location, and then suggest what to explore next. He makes it seem like it isn't hard- Because it isn't, but being with someone in the room, who knows what to do, can help you give your thoughts a break, to be quiet, and less critical, and just play(and then be less quiet, and keep playing).
I'm rambling- If you're curious, do a lesson with Kory. Start with one. It's not hard. Bye now.
Sal
My 10 year old wanted to learn how to play the electric guitar. We found Kory through take lessons and hes happy we did. He has made good progress in the time hes been going. We will keep going back for more lessons. He really enjoys the lessons.
Saul Hernandez
If you are looking to learn how to play guitar, look no further. Kory is an excellent teacher and takes his time showing you how to break down complex skills. He is super patient I’ll tell you that forsure. Im a very slow learner and it really sucks but Kory reassured me that everyone has different paces and we shouldnt compare them. Ive definitely improved a lot with just 10 sessions.

"In our limited time together, Colin effectively helped me to prepare and be ready for the AP Calculus exam. He was able to cover any topic that I had questions on, and in great detail; he always explained each step of every problem thoroughly, not leaving anything out of the picture.

Another thing worth mentioning is Colin's passionate approach to teaching. He would always go about each lesson with unmistakable enthusiasm, showing that even calculus could be fun, if you were willing to see it as so. He was also always willing to go all the way with any problem, even if it went over the time limit; he wanted to make sure that I had no questions or concerns about any topic, no matter how complex it might have been. So, all in all, if you are looking for a suitable calculus tutor, Colin is certainly a very worthy option!"

There were plenty of times she spent her lunch periods with me to give extra one on one time when need after graduating from being her student, she has always kept in touch with me. In college, I can email her any material that I do not understand, and she finds the most amazing way to show me over video chat. "Aalok Shah's in depth knowledge of admission testing, coupled with his easy demeanor, made all the difference for our son as he prepped for the college process. In addition to advising our son on the proper material to study, Aalok taught him to strategically tackle each section and manage his question answering time accordingly. He set up realistic weekly goals for our son to meet as well as providing many study guides and materials for his reference. We found Aalok’s advice on college planning extremely useful and he was always readily available to answer any questions that we had. Aalok’s calm and encouraging personality eased the stress surrounding standardized testing. This fall, our son will join the Rutgers University inaugural Honors College Class of 2019 with a full tuition, room & board scholarship worth $102,400. We are extremely grateful to Aalok for the integral role he played in making this happen. We cannot recommend Aalok highly enough to any family who is embarking on the college pathway."
