One of the most rewarding aspects of an academic position is the opportunity to teach and
interact with students. Mathematics is known as an abstract but fascinating discipline. I have been immersed in it for many years and enchanted by its beauty. In the career of teaching, I always try to pass my passion by encouraging students to think, enlightening students about how to think, and offering students concrete examples that they can play with. Whether or not they realize it, students have the freedom to explore and to think about problems in new ways.

About Arman

Hi my name is Arman, I have PhD in Mathematics and a solid experience in School, College teaching and tutoring. My teaching load includes Precalculus, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Differential equations, Mathematical Analysis, Theory of Probability and Math Statistics. During my student teach

In 2013 and 2014, I took English classes with Marcia Albergo. Marcia was a very different kind of teacher. Unlike other teachers, she fostered a love for the language. She encouraged everyone in the classroom to reach their potential. Her method of teaching was also different than the other teachers I had. She used a variety of materials that not only helped us to learn English, but also encouraged our desire to learn. She covered a variety of topics and subjects that held the interest of the students in the classroom. Whether it was learning new words on each new page of a book or new expressions, I was challenged to learn the English language in a variety of ways. I believe she did a good job as a teacher because I was actually learning more than just English. I was learning things about the world that I never knew before. Thanks to her method of teaching, I have learned English well. Marcia was my favorite teacher.

I have take lessons from Marcia several years ago and highly recommend you take lessons from her as well. She helped improve my English greatly, because she is very professional teacher. Marcia always well organized and prepared. She use effective teachings methods. Gramma exercises, verbs conjugation, colloquialisms, expressions, discussions helps me become a fluent speaker.
She can connect to her students on multiple levels and give for them support. Marcia is very responsible and extremely helpful, she always answered in all my questions. Marcia is a great teacher and friend.
Thank you so much.
Elizabeth
I am currently a student at the University of Maryland double majoring in Finance and Management with an Entrepreneurship Track. I am originally from Peru. I came to the United States looking for a better future. The fact that I am in school is due to all the help that Marcia gave me with my ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. While I was taking ESL classes, I wanted to give up, but Marcia believed in me and encouraged me to persevere. Marcia has a personality that everyone will like. She makes her classes challenging but is always ready to help you overcome those problems. There are no words to describe how thankful I am to Marcia, for all her patience, encouragement, willingness, sacrifice and understanding that she provided, as I learned the English language. More importantly, she became my friend and guided me through my path in life.

Learning to read can be challenging in English. Our language, while beautiful, has as many unique characteristics as do our people! Since I have a secondary English minor, I've had long experience in reading, teaching and interacting with many levels of students.

Difficulty in reading can often be simply a translation problem. When that glitch is narrowed in on, and taken apart, the magic of words opens up!

About Marsha

In this crazy time, remote teaching is what we do! I’ve found it works quite well, and am enjoying seeing students own space as well. Happy distancing learning! Hello! I know you want to know about me, but this is really about YOU! I am a music coach. That means that my role is to find out

Marsha is a wonderful music teacher! She has an organized lesson plan, she's always willing to set aside the lesson plan if I want to do something different that day, she gives very gentle feedback, and I always have so much fun with her during lessons. I highly recommend!

I have been taking lessons with Marsha for several months. Marsha has been helping me immensely to become a better singer. I am a novice vocalist and Marsha has worked with me patiently. I feel as if I have been progressing nicely with my vocal training.

I worked with Marsha for about 10 weeks. Singing was something on my "bucket list" and I wanted to find out why I didn't know how to do it. I learned a ton from Marsha, and I also learned that I wasn't a hopeless case!!

"Colin is amazing. I was preparing to take the AFOQTS and my first score was 70... I scheduled lessons with Colin and 2 weeks later I scored a 98 on the actual test! Colin was extremely good at communicating with me, being flexible in our lessons and adopting what he was teaching to exactly what I needed. Like me he had to "relearn" math as an adult and because of that he is able to explain things so that they make sense logically rather than give formulas to memorize like my horrible public school teachers.

I really cannot recommend him enough, thank you for all your help Colin!"

Interested in evaluating where the individual's writing skills are; what are their goals; and how to develop a lesson plan based on the age and school district requirements. How to Write a Haiku | A Short History, and 7 Easy Steps

Interested in learning how to write a haiku? In this article, you'll learn about the rich history of haiku poems, and get to take a stab at writing your own. The haiku style actually originated from tanka, a short poem with a 5-7-5-7-7 syllable rhythm. Tanka was originally practiced by Japanese noblemen and Buddhist priests. During the 9th-12th centuries, writing tanka became a game called "renga," where one person wrote the first three lines of the poem and another person wrote the next t …
