Newberry Springs Academic Tutoring Lessons for Adults

I have been teaching and tutoring for over five years, and my goal is to help students gain understanding of the problems they solve: I do not teach them simply how to solve problems, but why those problems can be solved in those particular ways. I want to enable students to become problem solvers who think logically and creatively.

We will work together to learn prefixes, suffixes and root words to figure out what new words mean. I want to help you learn and understand new words, not simply memorize them.

Expertise and well grounded in human anatomy and physiology,biology,biochemistry,and basic core medical sciences. Over eleven years experience teaching anatomy and physiology at secondary and post secondary levels. I will work with you to learn all you can utilizing some learning aids . I grew up in Germany and have a Belgian background. Going to an international school helped me to develop an understanding for other cultures and languages, as well as help me learn Spanish.
After school I moved to Israel where I picked up Hebrew and I am currently learning my 6th language which is Portuguese! It's never too later or too difficult.
If you have a passion for it, it will eventually get easier.
I'd be happy to teach you the formal versions as well as street-style.

I have been a Communications teacher for the past 25 years. I started in high school on the debate team and continuing in college while becoming a Nationally ranked debater. Masters in Secondary Speech Education. Continues to teach at summer institute debate camps at several Universities. Former debate coach of 20 years with many state and nationally ranked debaters through the National Speech and Debate Association. Diamond Coach award recipient.
