Wow Sergey is really great at this! My daughter just turned 5 and is still practicing her headstands against the wall hours later. Sergey's advice to have her 'help' me practice MY stretching is a double win and making her more willing to do her pushups and splits too. We are really looking forward to the next class already. Her lessons focused on individual creativity and learning about historical and cultural art techniques from around the world. Through the Language of Art, she taught the Elements (line, shape, form, value, space, color, and texture) as well as the Principles (balance, contrast, proportion, variety, unity, and gradation) in each art project. Hannah encouraged every student to analyze their own artwork and the artwork of others through discussions and presentations. Today, she offers private art lessons to individuals of any age who would like to explore their creative side in their media of choice.

Hannah first tried yoga at the end of her college studies, when her fingertips were 6-8 inches from touching the ground (in forward fold), then she dabbled in yoga on Nintendo Wii. She really dove in and found transformation through Yoga One San Diego. In 2012, while serving tables at Cafe Chloe, Hannah met Laura McCorey, a teacher and blog writer from Yoga One, and began learning yoga in beautiful Balboa Park. Laura opened her perspective to the healing aspect that yoga can bring and she began to find inner balance and peace as she practiced 3-4 times a week at the studio for the following years to the present. With an athletic background of a runner and hiker, Hannah gradually began to increase in flexibility, balance and whole body strength. Today, her palms can press against the earth in forward fold! This teaches us that yoga is not for the flexible, but it is here to help us become more flexible!

In fall of 2014, after completing the Rainbow Kids Yoga Training, she stumbled upon the opportunity to also teach yoga to her students at the charter school. She continued to deepen her practice as she received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certifficate from Yoga One San Diego in March 2015. Hannah shared her passion of travel by taking kids through imaginary journeys to different places. This passion evolved into teaching live adult adventure classes at Yoga One San Diego and Waterfront Park.

Hannah's students have been able to experience the joy and health benefits that yoga has to offer. Hannah emphasizes safety in getting into and out of poses, proper alignment, and the benefits of breathing with your movements (Vinyasa Flow). She incorporates partner poses like 'Bicycle" and "House" to teach trusting and interconnected relationships.

Hannah enjoys inspiring her students through a full body experience of movement with breath, muscle strength and flexibility, connection with others, listening to verbal instructions and stories, playing world music, aromatherapy, and symbolism through visual art.

Hannah has had the opportunity to teach a Kids Summer Camp in 2015 that connects the yoga lessons to her art lessons. For example, she taught a Rain forest theme lesson with poses like tree, frog, jaguar, and rainbow, then incorporated illustration examples through books about the Rain forest, and students drew and colored their own illustration with these animals and objects. Further, after a yoga lesson of Things that Fly, students created bald eagles with vinyl by tracing their hands for the wings. Hannah aspires to share her light and enthusiasm to anyone who is open.

Hannah loves Half Moon pose and the contrast that it represents with the sun, similar to yin/yang philosophy. There are many contrasts in our life that are meant to be observed and appreciated: night/day, inhale/exhale, forward-bend/back-bend, hot/cold, energetic/calm, in/out, up/down, new/old, fast/slow, work/play, travel/home, left/right, clean/dirty, empty/full, difficult/easy, and young/old. She is inspired to continue to grow on her journey and share it with you!

I am Mia's grandmother. She has shown an interest in piano and has just turned 10 a few days ago. She loves lessons with Hannah and has completed her fifth lesson and will continue on.
Hannah is patient and Mia enjoys learning from her. I sit nearby during her home lessons and feel the teaching technique is perfect for Mia.
I took lessons as a child and feel Mia has accomplished much in five lessons while having fun and enjoying the songs she is playing.
I would highly recommend Hannah to anyone who has an interest in learning how to play the piano.
I chose piano lessons as a Christmas gift to my granddaughter. I waited until she showed an interest in learning piano and I'm happy to have found a great teacher. Thank you TakeLessons and thank you Hannah.

I studied under a Russian Prima ballerina. I played soccer. I swam. My lifestyle at a young age has reflected in my work as an adult. Lindsay put together mommy and me ballet lessons for my 2 year old and I. We looked forward to our lessons and she kept my daughter engaged and having fun the entire time. Over the course of a year, not only did we have a lot of fun doing ballet together, she actually learned a few basic steps and is comfortable with the rhythm of warming up, dancing, then cooling down. Having Lindsay live online was much better than a video because she interacted with Skye and could adjust the lesson to keep her involved. I enjoyed dancing with my daughter and getting a little stretch and workout in each time as well.

Morissa is a great teacher. Her classes are always so well thought out and structured. She is very creative with her flow and offers lots of guidance through out class, most especially during the peak pose. I love taking her class because I always feel calm and centered afterwards. My journey into yoga started out with just wanting to be able to touch my toes. I sat down on my mat in my first class in a room with about 40 other students, nervous as ever about all the crazy gymnastic like poses we'd have to do. Our teacher turned down the lights a bit, turned on some soft flute music, and asked us to take a deep breath. Then another. Then another. Slowly she guided us to move our bodies and focus on how each breath felt in each position. Eventually, breath by breath, I was able to touch my toes.

When I approach yoga with students, I tailor it to you and always bring it back to the breath. Do you want to work out? Let's get it. You want to chill out, let's chill you out then. Wanna do a handstand? Let's get to a wall! We will get to where you want to go, one breath at a time.

Upon deciding to begin Yoga Therapy with Kaity Rose, you will be given an intake questionnaire to complete for Kaity to gain a larger understanding of your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual goals. Based on this intake process, a yoga class is created specifically for you. Your first session will typically last 90 minutes for further intake.

After your initial assessment, you will practice a personalized session with your Yoga Therapist. You are welcome to record your session to practice again at home. Your personal protocol will be written up, in most cases, for ease in taking the practice home. Results are dependent on your commitment to practice the techniques daily. Expected practice time is approximately 20 minutes/day.

I love the down-to-earth approach and peaceful energy Kaity brings to the classroom! As a 52 year old woman with only a little expereince with yoga, I find Kaity's teachings totally approachable and non-intimidating. I always leave her class feeling powerfully renewed! Kaity teaches for ALL body types, ALL genders and ALL ages! I definitely don't feel like I don't fit in or can't keep up. She definitely knows her stuff and really seems to care about each and every student. She's the real thing!

Kaity did an amazing job holding space for me to get into a rhythm with my poses. She provided a very well formed balance between guiding me into a deep practice and allowing me to have space and silence. She is professional, nurturing and understands the dynamics of yoga at an advance level. I am not very flexible so she was able to give me adjustments that are safe for my body type but still stretch me at the same time. She also has a great mindful presence that added to the depth of the practice... Definitely going to do more sessions with her.
