Bgcheck Background Checked

I specialize in collegiate music school consultations and advising. I work with students and parents to help assemble a solid strategy to increase the students' chances of getting into their top music school choices. I have auditioned at many music schools as a percussionist and as a composer, and have endured rigorous placement exams and evaluations. I have gained an intimate understanding of the mysterious inner-workings of music school admissions.

About Jeremy

I'm a drummer, composer, and music theory instructor from Long Island, NY. I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees in music composition from SUNY Purchase College, and am currently working on my PhD in music composition at UC Berkeley. As a drummer, I love playing and teaching all styles of

Traci is the best! She is so kind and yet provides such a great workout. I'm a total beginner in dance but she makes me feel comfortable and each week my body is getting more tone and stronger. I really do enjoy her classes and I highly recommend her as an instructor.

Traci is a fantastic teacher because she is a fantastic dancer. She knows how to guide you whether you are overcoming an injury or trying to take your dancing to the next level. Traci takes ballet seriously but with lots of humor and grace!

Hello,

With over 8 years experience in tutoring, I have learned what methods work and those that don’t. I’m upbeat, patient, easy going, empathetic, and generally well-liked by others. I’m very good at adapting to different learning styles and have a knack for eliciting the best out of my students through motivation and positive reinforcement.

Throughout university, and after, I mentored many students with great results. In addition to academics I helped them get the most out of their college experience. Everyone I helped benefited greatly, and one runs a very successful consulting business.

Aside from math and English, I’m a very proficient test and note taker. I speak conversational Spanish, and basic Japanese.

About Mitch

Whether you're completely lost, just need a little help, or need some test/note taking tips I can be very helpful. My patient, easy going, and positive mindset is very conducive to creating a great learning atmosphere. I can also be very useful to those that aren't motivated, I have a knack for fin

I’ve been tutoring students for about 2 years now and I like to do more visual learning. Which means I like use things like white boards, play games like “Jeopardy” and many more math games. Not only are my games fun but students have to told me that they now like math because of my lessons. I specialize with beginner/intermediate math students. So if your interested don’t be afraid to shoot me a message. And hopefully we will get to have a fun time together learning math/algebra.

About Kelicia

I started tutoring once I graduate high school. I use to tutor students in high school but I never really thought I could’ve been good at it. But once I got to college I started tutoring athletes and realized the amount of process that had in the subject. I love to see my students process in the

From experience, math can transition easily from the most frustrating to the most rewarding subjects. It is always a joyful experience for me to see students put 2 and 2 together and arrive at that glorious correct answer.* I have experience working with elementary and high school students, both privately and in volunteer settings.

Whether the focus is on polynomials, trig identities, calculus, or linear algebra, I am here to help. My process is to break everything down and ask the students questions in order to guide them to the solution. I will do everything I can to help facilitate deep understanding and earning that next A!

My ACT score was 35, with a sub-score of 36 on math. I took Calculus my sophomore year and earned a 5 on the AP Calc - BC test.

Fun fact: In addition to being a math major at the University of Rochester, I'm also studying the Double Bass at Eastman School of Music. If you or your student have any interest in music lessons for upright bass or bass guitar, I ...

About Owen

Here's a bit about myself: Since 2016, I've been teaching math to high school and elementary students. I've always loved it. With teaching, I feel that I've grown more patient and more thoughtful in my general life. I recommend that anyone with the means try their hand at teaching. It is a parti

"Awesome tutor! Breaks down concepts to make it easily digestible and works with your schedule. He gives you great tips that you can't learn from a book. He is very laid back and that helps with the crazy chaos of MCAT studying. Overall, well rounded in the subjects of the MCAT and would work with him again in the future if I needed. I would defintely recommend him for future MCAT test takers."
