Quinton works primarily with beginner to intermediate students putting an emphasis on grammar in a fun and interactive way. After living in South Korea for two years Quint realized that grammar structure was one of the main sticking points that made learning Korean so difficult for English speakers. As a result he uses these practices to help students take their language study to an entirely new level.
Quinton has studied multiple languages ranging from Portuguese and Spanish to Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese. As a native English speaker himself Quint has learned skills and techniques to explain Grammar in a simple yet relatable way for other English speakers. Quint’s philosophy is that the most effective way to learn a language is to have fun with it by talking about the things that spark your interest rather than dry lessons that can cause you to lose interest. I think that this is especially critical for learning a language as complex and non-English as Korean is.

I can say to my students that we will have fun, interesting classes that cover culture, formality, pronunciation, and more. I was inspired to become a Korean teacher by my love of Hanguel (Korean language), and I want to help people who want to learn about it.
I will be your encouraging teacher. I am looking forward to meeting you & helping you to develop your Korean skills.

안녕하세요 여러분!
Hello, all!
This is Park, a certified Korean tutor. I am a native Korean speaker and I also was a Korean language teacher at a Korean-American language school in the U.S.
제가 여러분에게 3가지 질문이 있습니다.
I have three questions for you.
1. 한국어 알파벳을 빠른 시간내에 숙달하고 싶으세요?
Do you want to master the Korean alphabet quickly?
2. 그럼 혹시 자음, 모음, 낱자, 문법 등 어려운 용어를 암기하세요?
Then, do you memorize terminology words such as consonants, vowels, and grammar?
3. 이미 한국어 공부를 시작했으면, 쓰기나 읽기, 말하기와 듣기를 따로 하세요?
If you have already started studying Korean, do you write or read, speak and listen separately?
The answer above is that if you get the right teaching method and learning materials, you can realize it. Only TakeLessons can find Ms. Park, a certified Korean tutor.
Oh, wait! One last thing, but not the least is to enjoy your mistakes to improve your Korean language skills! :)
I hope I work with you soon.
* Please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any question or ...

I taught myself Korean. So, I understand the struggles that everyone goes through when learning Korean and I have figured out all the tricks and ways of learning the language. I have perfected the Korean accent, have received a certificate from the Korean government confirming my Korean language abilities, and I have taught a Korean class in association with IYF (International Youth Foundation) at Temple University.
