I require 24 hours notice for a cancellation. If a lesson is not cancelled, yet the student fails to show up within the first 15 minutes of the lesson, a no-show fee of 100% of that lesson will be kept. As an bioengineer, calculus is the bedrock of much of the mathematics I use to solve physical problems in biomechanics and fluid mechanics. Hello there! My name is Colin, and I have nine years of experience tutoring math and science. I am a PhD candidate in the UC Berkeley-UC San Francisco joint bioengineering program. The late physicist, Richard Feynman, posited that the ability to explain complicated ideas in a simple manner is the true mark of understanding. Additionally, I emphasize a strong understanding of the fundamentals because both math and science are heavily inductive disciplines; many of the theorems and laws are founded on other, more fundamental principles. My online teaching platform is a “black board” drawing program that my students can follow along with as I explain concepts and solve problems. The math teachers in the classrooms are so busy teaching students WHAT to do, they don't have the time to explain WHY it's done that way. This is where I'm different. Instead of having students memorize formulas, I derive them. My students understand the thinking that went into the formulas and are better prepared to not only retain the formulas longer, but also recognize when a situation (word problem) calls for a particular formula. Precalculus is an important subject that allows a student to move to calculus. I help my students to make this transition as smooth as possible. We discuss not only different ways to solve problems but why  we solve problems this way and why this way is working. It usually allows students to create a path to the solution even they don't remember how to solve this particular problem. Is the difficulty of pre-calculus stressing you out? I'm here to explain the concepts in an easy manner. I can train the student to be proficient with the essential algebra and trigonometry that forms a base for learning calculus. (Knowledge of introductory algebra needed as a pre-requisite.) Hi I’m Corey, a computer science graduate from UCSD who has a genuine appreciation for the study of math and computer science. My motivation comes from my own experience, from a poor educational background in grade school to graduating from a highly accredited university. As with Pre Algebra, the value of a [PRE] course is high as the first interaction with Calculus overall. Most teacher rush the content presented here without making the appropriate connections of understanding.


My lessons in all Mathematical courses include multiple perspective views of any topic, a visual, a auditory, and kinesthetic practice for finalization. This has been a successful practice in teaching all levels of educated individuals for the last 7+ years.

With eight years of teaching and tutoring experience at Valencia College from 2011 yo 2019 and   University of Central Florida from 2017 to 2019; I have experienced a wide variety of students between the ages 7 to 60 years. This experience has enabled me to customize lessons in one to one sessions with each unique student and their unique needs. 

My teaching methodologies include plenty of visual aids, simile's, and clear communication with a strong emphasis on Socratic questioning to stimulate critical thought in helping to understand and take control of the information to be learned.

Sessions include visual and auditory components to learning and for students who need kinetic interaction to fulfill their learning process assignments can be assigned or custom problems can be created to be solved with an overview process of what is understood and what needs to be better diagnosed.
