Looking to start or enhance a career as a voice actor? Just looking for a fun way to become more in tune with your voice and body? I can help guide you to achieve your personal goals.
Using my background in linguistics, singing and acting, I will show you how the human body can produce a wide range of sounds for diverse effects. Voice-over work traditionally centers on animation, but we will discuss different ways of approaching radio, commercial and both child and adult-oriented cartoons for a deeper knowledge and skill set. We will do warm ups that classical singers use as well as analyze other voice artists' work to see what is best for you.

Acting is such a broad term! What are your goals? Do you want to be in films? Do you want to do Shakespeare? Do you want to be in a sit com? Depending upon what your interests are and where you want to go, we will build a plan together. My philosophy on acting techniques is that they are tools to help you, not tests you pass if you're a good actor and fail if you're a bad one. Different techniques work for different people and it is our job to find out what inspires you.
I've worked as a professional actor for many years, performed on Broadway, have my MFA in Performing Arts, and my BA in Arts and Education. I was an assistant director to Tony-winner Sharon Ott and have written and produced my own work. I have experience in both stage and camera acting, which have specific technical differences, but are both a lot of fun once you get used to the medium. Audition technique, preparing monologues, and creating promotional materials are also things I can help with. Anyone who wants to ...

A long-time actor, I have had the pleasure of working with Bren on a variety of projects. Not only is she both an enthusiastic leader and team player, watching her with students, Bren has proven to be a knowledgeble and capable teacher, encouraging students, and bringing out more vocally than most expected of themselves. Bren herself is an experienced singer and v/o artist, well-qualified to help others develop vocally."

The key component of voice acting, even more than secrecy and seclusion, is versatility. An in-demand voice actor may be called upon to provide the pipes for a cartoon rabbit in a kid's show on Friday, …
