Alida was fantastic! She made me feel completely comfortable and took everything step by step. She focused on strengthening my weaknesses by showing me new stretches and techniques every lesson. Alida truly is an amazing teacher. Even though I've only worked with her for five days, Alida has made my technique and main focus. It was the best and I plan (and hope) to work with her again and again!

Alida is one of the best, most caring dance teachers I've ever had. In just a few short lessons she taught me to really believe in myself, boosted my confidence and taught me technique and important combinations for important upcoming auditions. She is very patient and really catered to my needs. She doesn't ever waste any time and I always leave a lesson feeling good and really feeling like I'm getting my moneys worth. Very thankful I found her and would recommend anyone take lessons with her.

I rate her tops.

Alida is a very good teacher. Never once did she come late. She has great manners and great teaching techniques. She breaks down steps n make them easier to learn so I do not get frustrated and bored. Since I'm someone who never danced jazz before she was exactly what I needed. she quickly grasped what I could or could not do n was most patient. I rate her tops.

Olga taught us an amazing first wedding dance that she also choreographed for us. She combined Rumba and Foxtrot elements – with leans, dips and even a lift – into one unique dance that impressed (and definitely surprised) our friends and family at the reception. Neither of us had ever done any formal dancing before, but Olga got us to a proficient level in a very short time. Besides being a talented teacher, Olga is also very funny, as well as kind, and will make you feel at ease as you begin to dance, no matter your skill or comfort level. Highly recommended!

I will cater to what each individual needs, working with dance material you already know teach you choreography to achieve the following:

-provide personalized feedback to help improve technical and artistic growth.

- give tools to improve and deepen your understanding of technique

- explain how to connect your expressiveness with your technique

My style is very supportive and direct. I believe that to improve as a dancer you need personal feedback and hard work. I am very passionate about sharing what I know to help other dancers reach their goals.

About Amanda
I am currently dancing with the Paul Taylor 2 Dance Company and on faculty teaching at the Paul Taylor School. While maintaining a professional dance career in New York City, I have been passionate about teaching dance for the past 9 years.

I have taught Master Classes and Intensive Workshops in the Paul Taylor style throughout the nation, as well as teaching Vaganova Ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School. I have taught in numerous public schools through teaching residencies with Rioult Dance Company and Education In Dance. I believe these experiences have taught me how to assess individuals quickly and provide clear feedback in a positive and supportive way.

My teaching style is energetic, and focused on the personal experience each dancer is having, while giving direct and clear feedback. My goal is to help students reach their art
istic potential in their dancing by helping to combine technique with lyricism, rhythmic dynamics and emotive qualities.

Private lessons can be catered toward each individual. Either for an upcoming audition, feedback on solo or ensemble choreography, to help personalize technical corrections and to help push technique to a higher level, or for non dancers to help understand movement and feel comfortable in a beginning class.

Dancing since the age of 3, I'd love to spark the passion of dance in anyone that's interested! With a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Ballet Pedagogy (the art or science of teaching) this is what I've trained to do.

I specialize in Ballet, Modern and Jazz ages 5-18 beginner to advanced students. I focus on strong foundations in technique and musicality. I am also comfortable choreographing solo work for auditions.

About Sara
Hello! I'm Sara!

I started dancing at the age of 3. I am well versed in Ballet, Modern and Jazz. I attended Joffrey San Antonio (2004) and Paul Taylor New York (2010) intensives.

While in high school I taught Ballet, Jazz, Pre-Pointe and Pointe classes to dancers age 3-14.

In 2011 I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Pedagogy (which is the art or science of teaching).

Since moving to NYC 5 years ago I have been focused on performing with such dance companies as Exit 12 Dance Company (2011-2012) and Community Dance Project (2013-2014). While not dancing with specific companies I have choreographed and danced in two music videos.

I can't express my love for teaching enough! To know that I could help spark the passion of dance in a young person is extremely inspiring.

Please inc
lude your area and availability in your messages!

I would prefer to teach students with professional or aerobic goals. Social dancing is not one of my subjects.

I practice an Indian Classical dance form called Kuchipudi which hails from South of India. I have been teaching dance for more than 5 years now. I have done various workshops internationally and represented my dance style in various global platforms. Indian classical dance allows you to discover not only the beauty you carry physically but also let you discover the spiritual dimension of you. Each session will be a journey of catharsis. Each gesture, pose and movement you learn in a session holds a lot of spiritual or mythological significance. It is not just a physical workout, but a journey where you will learn tonnes about Indian culture, traditions, fashion and spiritual outlook. You will also learn a little Sanskrit and Telugu (south Indian language) while taking lessons with me. I am a perfectionist and very demanding but at the same time very fun. Your commitment and discipline drives my enthusiasm.

About Yamini
I am a professional Kuchipudi dancer. I have been practicing this dance form for more than 12 years. I am the disciple of renowned Guru Padmasri Dr. Sobha Naidu. I am classically trained in Carnatic Music for about 8 years. I have been teaching for more than 5 years. I am a performer, choreographer, instructor and dance model. Teaching is something I enjoy a lot since I feel like a sculptor who gives life to a stone.
