Quinton works primarily with beginner to intermediate students putting an emphasis on grammar in a fun and interactive way. After living in South Korea for two years Quint realized that grammar structure was one of the main sticking points that made learning Korean so difficult for English speakers. As a result he uses these practices to help students take their language study to an entirely new level. 
Quinton has studied multiple languages ranging from Portuguese and Spanish to Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese. As a native English speaker himself Quint has learned skills and techniques to explain Grammar in a simple yet relatable way for other English speakers. Quint’s philosophy is that the most effective way to learn a language is to have fun with it by talking about the things that spark your interest rather than dry lessons that can cause you to lose interest. I am native Korean and my home town is Korea. I have experience teaching korean to foreign students. If you are interested in traveling to Korea or in K- culture such as kpop or kdrama, I could provide curriculum based on that. We will start with how to read and write the Korean alphabet and learn how to speak simple korean phrases.

Each lesson will be based on a theme where we will focus on specific vocabs and phrases related to it. I will also encourage you to speak in Korean during our lessons because the more you speak it, the better you will get! My goal is to help you learn the language in a fun, engaging way so that you truly enjoy learning it and make it a sustainable routine :)

My name is Myung, and I am a native Korean speaker. I graduated from Ewha Women's University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Literature.

I obtained a master’s degree in TESOL and Linguistics at West Virginia University in 2020. I have teaching experience in English, Korean, and Chinese between ages 5 to 15, as well as adults including college students. I worked as the Vice Headmaster in the Korean Language School of State College, PA for five years.
While my degree is in linguistics, I am a Tamarack artist, and I am a juried member in the West Virginia Watercolor Society (WVWS).

From personal experience as a nonnative speaker, I understand why students have difficulties in learning English or Korean, and I know how to teach language in a fun and effective way, so that language-learning can be a pleasant experience for students.
