I love Suyeon so much! She is such an a amazing teacher and extremely patient. I remember she would teach me a word and ask me to repeat it and I would instantly forget it, she simply didn't get angry and taught me the word in a different way so I could remember it. My Korean is improving everyday and I couldn't have gotten this far without you. 선생님 감사합니다!!! :)

My video introduction is available! Please check. ***************************************** Let's learn Korean together and have a great time! I look forward to working with you. :) ****************************************** I grew up in Seoul, South Korea but I currently live in the U.S. Since 2015, I have started teaching Korean to English speakers including groups and one-on-one sessions through online or in person. I have many ways I like to teach but ultimately my lesson plans are totally dependent on what YOU want. So, please let me know your goal.
※ About Lessons: My lessons are basically in Korean. So, I will try to speak Korean as much as possible. But, I still teach in English.
※ Materials: Free eBooks, PDF Homework, Listening files
※ Levels: If you are an Intermediate & Advanced learner and want to have talks with me, then let me know the following: - Which do you want more, discussion or revision? How much do you want me to speak? 50:50, 80:20, etc. - Do you want me to focus on correcting your pronunciation/basic grammar? Or to rewrite what you said?
※ Homework: Usually, my lessons have Homework. Are you okay with this? How much homework do you want? How many hours do you have for homework?
*Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No Shows* If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson, I need to be notified 24 hours in advance. If you ask to change after this
24-hour period I will have to charge you the full price of the lesson. This same rule applies if you are over 15 minutes late and you have not contacted me beforehand. I adjust my life and schedule around these lessons, so please understand why I need to be strict about this type of situation.
Mrs. Eileen has helped my daughter improve a lot in Korean! She's very kind, patient, and is always there to help you if you are ever confused. I would definitely recommend picking her as your next teacher!
I came to USA at age of 15 and learned English in Mid-West most of my life. I love using idioms in both language. In Korean up-to-dated direct translation of "you're welcome" is "what?" why? because they meant "oh no what are you talking about? don't mention it" Let's learn the language while having fun. Take a lesson from me.
Johan here and I love music! Nice to meet you fellow music lover.
I have been involved in music since I was just a child. It started with learning piano, then guitar, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, djembe and so many more.
I’ve continued to learn and perfect my craft by being apart of different types of bands from small to large with varying genres of music. I also formalized my music education with a bachelor of Art in Music. Did I mention I’m also quite a harmonizer? Sign up today and maybe I’ll throw in some tips with your instrument lesson.
Johan was great. Very helpful in prepping for the session and we look forward to working with him in the future!

This was only my first less with Johan -- it was such fun, I felt so encouraged and can't wait for my next. He's just terrific! Very kind and clear and again - the key word - encouraging! A great teacher!

Johan is great with kids! My son is a very active child, and he was able to make the lesson fun and engaging. More than that, I enjoyed seeing Johan be creative, listen to the child, and make music fun, more than being it a lesson (per say). I highly recommend Johan!

"Jihye caters to your needs at whatever level you are currently. She is very patient and takes a great bottom up approach to teaching. She also offers mor
e casual and conversational teaching"
"Youngju 선생님 was wonderful! She is patient, provides clear instruction, and accommodates the student at the level they need. Can’t wait to continue learnin
g from her! 감사합니다"
"I really like how he wanted to get to know the type of person I am and what I already know. We learned about each other aswell."
"Very patient and kind. I recommend him to anyone wishing to learn Korean!"
"Sunho is a terrific tutor - very helpful, patient, and paces her lessons well."
"Suyeon was very helpful and prepared for our session. She sent me many notes to use during our session, and she answered my questions. I wanted help with
a specific phrase, and we are going to work on my pronunciation and the translation in our coming sessions. I am a beginner and she made me feel very comfortable!"
"I really enjoyed our first lesson. He was clear and had materials for me, and even thought ahead of if I had studied on my own, which I had! I would recom
mend him to anyone. Loads of fun with great homework to boot!"
"I just finished my first lesson with Youngju and she did not disappoint. Firstly, she is extremely prompt, with excellent communication skills and is supe
r personable. Due to a work conflict I had to change our first lesson date and time, literally at the last minute. Youngju was very easy to get a hold of via text and email. She responded within the hour and was more than willing to accommodate my changing schedule. Today, I finally had my first lesson and walked away feeling more than satisfied. Youngju has a very easy going personality and relaxed teaching style. Due to her extensive background in education she is able to find and impart commonalities and helpful hints to aid in learning. She also provided background and a little history to our lesson, which I found extremely interesting and will definitely allow me to grasp and more easily remember the building blocks of the Korean language. The lesson was paced very well, not too slow or fast. Another highlight was the excitement and encouragement flowing from Youngju. You can see that she truly loves to teach and because of that I am extremely excited to learn Korean from her. I know I will not only walk away knowing a language but also understanding the culture better."
"I think back on my Korean lessons with Youngju and I am reminded about how easy and helpful the time was. I married a Korean man and though I had a pretty
good grasp of Korean, I wanted it to be more polished and authentic. Youngju is a genuine Korean teacher, who knows everything about the language and culture. Our lessons were intensive, as this is what I wanted. It was like a ping pong game of language and text where I would speak and she would write what I said and speak and text back on our shared screen; and this would be the way things went forward. During the whole lesson, everything was videotaped, and sent back to me for my review and study for the next lesson. I have the videos even now and I bring them with me to study. Also, she never forgot to send out worksheets in advance to the new unit so I could do my homework. And writing a weekly diary was very helpful. She encouraged me to use the expressions from our lessons in my diary writing, and I would send my diary to her. She would then correct my Korean and we would review together. There are too many things to say on this. I am now very comfortable with my Korean in laws and acquaintances and I owe this to Youngju. I am really enjoying life in Korea now!"
