I've been teaching piano now for 15 years. My goal is for the student to learn to play by feel in addition to reading music. A standard lesson would consist of some playing in books and going over some music theory followed by playing by feel. This would include blues, jazz, and rock grooves. My approach is creative and customized to the prospective student. The student needs to enjoy learning the piano. A happy student is a successful one.

About Paul

I am a musician who has played in many bands. My primary instrument is piano and voice. I also play rhythm guitar. My current group is a "Who" tribute band, performing a complete history of the rock group, The Who. Please check out our website magicbustour.com I play by ear but also read music.

Teaching piano begins with learning, playing, knowing, and loving the piano and the music it can produce. You will learn the music theory (scales to modes, rhythm, music signs), develop a good piano technic, improve sight reading. I teach classical and contemporary styles.

About George

I am so glad you’re here! The music lessons for young children are full of fun, interactive activities with iPads apps and traditional methods that not only help develop a strong musical foundation and build essential life skills, but offer a unique bonding experience for you and your child.

George explained things very simply.

George, was very patient, kind, and seem very knowledgeable. He seems to understand the pedagogy of teaching to kids and realize they all learn differently. I personally think he went above and beyond for my Son first class and for our first introduction. He offered a more modern approach method of teaching music and Piano to my son who so far seem more receptive in learning and practicing. Will se where that take us but I am very please so far.
Tracie S.
George is totally passionate about teaching. He encourages the kids to practice and do their best. He has great knowledge and understanding of music theory. He is pleasant, easy going and works really well with kids. Overall really good teacher. Recommend!

David is a great instructor. He can hear what you are doing wrong and tell you how to correct. I am learning Saxophone much faster than I thought possible.

Good first lesson with Dave. He's a great communicator and seemed to understand my level of music experience; he knew the right subjects to linger on, and what information he could skip over, confident that I already knew it. I felt like we were able to cover a lot of ground in 45 short minutes.

I enjoy finding the right balance of foundational curriculum with the interests and goals of the student. Other than learning how to read music notation with piano through repertoire, other things I incorporate are composition, improvisation, ear training, music theory, music history, fun creative projects, and other aspects when necessary.

Learning about each student in detail is important for me to tailor my curriculum for them to grow and learn to the best of their ability. I am not strictly classical, I enjoy teaching many genres of music.

With a master's in Piano pedagogy, I am versed in many teaching methods, group, private, semi-private, and I have taught music theory including AP Music Theory prep. I can teach piano from no experience to college-level entrance to Music Program.

"Glynis is a wonderful piano teacher! Our son has been taking lessons with her for about 5 months, and he has learned so much in such a short period of time. She makes the lessons fun, is engaging and patient, and able to keep a 7 year old focused, which is a feat in itself! After a bad experience trying group lessons, our son loves piano and looks forward to his lesson with Glynis each week."

"Molly utilized many different things to keep out three year old paying attention for the duration of the lesson. His name begins with 'D' so he was more than happy to find all the 'D' keys on the keyboard. The lesson was filled with these sorts of interactions and it was quite obvious Molly has worked with small children before. We are eagerly anticipating our next lesson!"

"Wow! Wow! Wow! This was truly money and time well spent. I went into this lesson with no expectations, rather just with the hope of connecting well with a piano instructor that was not only well versed but could ease me into being a student. Paul is a rare treasure. He exceeded all my hopes of what I hoped to gain from my lessons. I would highly recommend him for any piano student. If you're looking to be challenged, and learn any genre of music,, don't wait...book your lessons with Paul. Thank you Paul. I'm looking forward to growing as a student."
