Jenny was great with my 3 - 5 year old daughter. I highly recommend. We have had 4 different tutors since - even two in Korea and they weren't as good as Jenny.

I have had 5 lessons with Jenny so far and it's been a great experience. She's very patient and breaks concepts down very easily. She helps you to speak more naturally and helps you with understanding. Korean is easy to learn to read and write but listening is very difficult. However, Jenny helps me to understand and break down syllables and words by repitition. It also helps to study outside the class because then you can sound what you are learning into you mind and heart. Hope to be fluent one day.

Do you want to know more about Korea and the language?
I can help you.
I am an experienced Korean language partner from University of Miami for college students since 2015.
From beginner to intermediate, I will be your Korean conversation partner and teacher.

About Hyojung
Hello, my name is Leann Hyojung Cho.

When I was 5 years old, I started my piano training in classical and jazz piano.

I studied Jazz and Pop Piano at the Post Modern Music Dept. at the very famous Kyung Hee University (in South Korea). This is the same school that produced pop stars like Rain, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Primary, Big Bang’s GD and Daesung, TVXQ’s Yunho and Yoochon to name a few.
Since I was in College, I’ve been teaching pop and jazz piano to a variety of students, from beginner to the experienced, at all age levels. I understand every student is not the same, so I make it a priority to adapt my teaching style to match a person’s learning style to maximize the learning session.

While providing lessons to a variety of students, I joined multiple bands and jazz groups playing various genres such as, alternative rock
, hip-hop, pop, and fusion. In these groups, I played piano concerts, played for various video projects, and also multiple studio recordings.

After I graduated with my Bachelors, I wanted to develop my music knowledge as a jazz composer. Therefore, I prepared and studied hard, and was admitted to the very competitive University of Miami Studio Jazz Writing program which is top 3 in nation for music programs. Since then, I’ve made Miami my home. In addition to playing music, I have been teaching Korean to UM students in their Direct Independent Language Studies program.

In Miami, my music creativity has grown and I have met amazing musicians. From 2011 to the present, I have arranged, composed, and continue to perform in various fields.

I believe my various experiences will help me teach you to learn the piano in any style you choose. Doesn’t matter who you are, what your experiences are, I will guide you to learn the piano, whether it be for professional reasons or recreationally.

I came to USA at age of 15 and learned English in Mid-West most of my life. I love using idioms in both language. In Korean up-to-dated direct translation of "you're welcome" is "what?" why? because they meant "oh no what are you talking about? don't mention it"
Let's learn the language while having fun. Take a lesson from me.

About Johan
Johan here and I love music! Nice to meet you fellow music lover.

I have been involved in music since I was just a child. It started with learning piano, then guitar, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, djembe and so many more.

I’ve continued to learn and perfect my craft by being apart of different types of bands from small to large with varying genres of music. I also formalized my music education with a bachelor of Art in Music. Did I mention I’m also quite a harmonizer? Sign up today and maybe I’ll throw in some tips with your instrument lesson.

Are you interested in all things Korean Culture such as, KPOP, Korean dramas, and movies? Learning Korean becomes addicting and surprisingly more easy with the help of Korean culture contents. I have contributed Korean-English subtitles for Viki and GomTV, and have had 3 years of experience as a translator for On Story, a Korean Broadcasting Company. With this knowledge, I have formulated a study plan that utilizes subtitles and different media contents to help read, speak, and understand Korean. Although Korean might be ranked as one of the most difficult languages, it is certainly beatable with the right tools. Shoot me a message to see if we are a great match!

About Ivey
Hey! I am a freelance translator, a research assistant, and a part-time tutor for LSATs at Varsity Tutors. I've recently graduated from Emory University and am planning to attend law school in the coming fall of 2018. As a Korean American, I have always enjoyed sharing my culture with friends and students, and am fascinated by how the "Korean Wave" has managed to bridge cultural gaps. I want to participate in such global conversations and help students learn Korean in the fun, entertaining way. If you are interested, please message me!

Ivey was my ESL tutor in college and later my Korean tutor. I needed to travel to Korea for an internship and she recommended the best books for conversational Korean, helped me with basic Korean skills and she even hooked me up with her friends in Korea for some cultural experience. She is a great tutor and a great person.

Hello,

I Just moved to America from Korea this summer! I was a kindergarten and Elementary teacher near Seoul for the last 7 years. I also have a Korean language certification.

I am good at gauging student level and interests. I am happy to modify any lesson to suit the needs of the individual student at that moment and with long-term goals in mind.

I will almost always be able to tell you what is right and wrong. However, if you have a very difficult grammar question I may have to get back to you. But I love the challenge!

So long as you have realistic goals in mind I can help you meet them. 파이팅!

About Bora
Hello,

I just moved to America in the Summer of 2017! Everything is new and exciting. I am still learning how to live here. It is a great experience.

I lived the rest of my life in Bucheon South Korea, between Incheon and Seoul. I have a bachelor's in theology and a masters in sculpture. I have also taken Korean teaching certification classes. I was an Engish teacher since 2010. I taught all ages between kindergarten and high school.

I have shifting interests, I am currently into cooking and cake design. I like to make intricate flowers out of buttercream.

I largely learned English by watching Friends. There is no bad way to go about language learning so long as you put the time in! I would be happy to help you on your journey.
