Tracy is an expert and has taken me to places in singing that I was ‘scared’ of. I have seen improvements even after 4 lessons. Tracey is a caring and practical tutor. I highly recommend her!

I had my first lesson with Tracey today and I can't wait to take more! I'm a person who likes knowing how stuff works, why we may do something a certain way, what I should be paying attention to etc etc, and I love that she is willing to break everything down and explain in a very relatable way. She's very patient, easy-going, and despite how uncomfortable it is for me to sing in front of others, she made me feel like she's truly there to go along the journey with me, to improve and discover my voice with no judgments. Tracey is the best!

I would like nothing better than to help you discover and develop your voice's greatest potential. Singing embodies many elements including proper tone production, rhythmic accuracy, proper diction and connecting to and sharing the emotional content of a song. It is a personal journey for singers to learn how to integrate all those elements into their own instruments and I will act as your trusted and supportive guide throughout the process. I have a master's degree in classical vocal performance from the renowned Manhattan School of Music and performed with opera companies in New York City. Currently, in New Orleans, I sing with the joyous Shades of Praise interracial gospel choir. I have had the privilege of studying with some of the finest voice teachers, conductors and coaches that America has to offer and I would love to share that combined knowledge with others. I have also had the agonizing and humbling experience of losing and rebuilding my voice after medical difficulties, ...

I've learned so much in a short period of time with Sheila. She is very easy to get a long with and not intimidating despite her distinguished resume. She has helped me immensely with the awareness of my voice and allowed me to explore my instrument in ways I hadn't try before. Sheila is patient and will continue to approach and explain a technique from different angles (with humour!) until it is grasped. Thanks to her I feel more confident and aware when I'm singing. So thank you very very much!

Music is what I love! After working as a K-12 school teacher for 16 years, I finally took a leap and opened my own music studio. Teaching music is a gift to my heart, and I have built a strong studio of singers here in Southern Indiana. I love teaching in-person or online (when the student requires it). The student (parents, if applicable) and I decide on the path that the student wants to take based on their interests and their own voices (this is especially pertaining to older teen through adult students, who may have pre-professional or professional experience or ambitions). The musical art as well as vocal health are at the center of our study, but the art of music as therapy is just as important-- in our crazy world, creating music together is a healthy way to relieve stress and tension, to recenter ourselves, and to give us strength to carry on.

I hope you will join me in a lesson and see how wonderful this musical art can be!

I approach my teaching by finding every singer's true and honest voice, and then exploring ways to make that voice as free and beautiful as possible. In the course of our lessons I will utilize techniques to explore breath control, resonance, range and freedom of not only the voice, but the body's ability to express while performing.

Every person that is capable of speech is capable of singing beautifully, and I fully embrace that mantra as a teacher. With that approach, I teach a wide variety of styles, ranging from Music Theater to classically informed Operatic Singing. Let's make some music!

About Patrick

I am an opera singer, general musician and educator here in the Bay Area, with Professional Stage experience in Opera, Music Theater, Choral Work and Spoken Word. Most recently I've performed on stage at San Francisco Opera, West Bay Opera, Lamplighter's Music Theater and Pocket Opera! I also regul

Stephanie is the best vocal coach in Los Angeles. She is sweet, caring, and an incredible instructor. She is passionate about teaching and her students. I feel blessed to have found Stephanie online after trying out different vocal instructors that didn’t seem to care beyond the lessons and whether there was any improvement. Stephanie goes above and beyond and she’s extremely talented and has a beautiful voice herself! She is a professional that takes her time with beginners but knows her stuff and will take the time to teach you about your voice. She also creates an incredibly comfortable space where you can be vulnerable and emotional and make mistakes all while nurturing you to do your best! I highly recommend Stephanie to any professional or novice looking to start singing for fun!

Great instructor! Super informative and kind in her approach. She helps you feel comfortable being able to use your voice with her. She provides great technique and meets you at the level you’re at. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone thinking about getting singing lessons. Clean and covid-19 safe practices as well for in person sessions.
Jessica
I never took signing lessons before working with Stephanie and I am so happy I started! She is such an awesome instructor and person. She makes me feel so comfortable and excited about singing. She goes above and beyond to try and explain things in ways that click and pulls the best out of me. If you're looking for someone that is easy to work with but also pushes you to get the best out of yourself, she's the one. I can't recommend her enough and I look forward to our future lessons.

I've learned so much in the short couple months taking lessons from him. I would recommend him to anyone of any skill level. Very helpful and kind. :)

"The best teacher for finding YOUR voice!

I've sang for bands, choirs, and musicals, but each time, I felt like I was imitating somebody else in order to sound good. gfire's the first to help me feel comfortable with my own pipes AND teach me how singing actually works (FAR easier than I'd thought). Lessons are simple and practical, and gfire's got catchy ways to remember the fundamentals, from breathing to finding notes' "happy places." She's going to be a big star someday, and I'll be proud to say I took lessons from her. For now, I'm proud to say she taught me how to enjoy my voice."

5 Stereotypes Lead Singers Face (& How to Overcome Them)

Do you sing with a band? If so, you may have been wrongfully accused of one of the many stereotypes lead singers face -- even if you're always on your best behavior! Here, St. Augustine, FL voice teacher Heather L. shares her tips for proving them wrong...   I'm the lead singer -- uh, make that the only singer -- of two bands, an acoustic duo and a guitar/drum/piano/mandolin group. And as much fun as I have in each rehearsal, and as well as I get along with my bandmates, being a lead si …
