I'm a native Korean speaker who grew up in Seoul, South Korea all the way through college. I'm currently a doctoral student majoring in voice in the US. With over 10 years of experience teaching voice and piano to students of various levels. With my background, I can help with your Korean pronunciation, speaking, and listening skills. Quinton works primarily with beginner to intermediate students putting an emphasis on grammar in a fun and interactive way. After living in South Korea for two years Quint realized that grammar structure was one of the main sticking points that made learning Korean so difficult for English speakers. As a result he uses these practices to help students take their language study to an entirely new level. 
Quinton has studied multiple languages ranging from Portuguese and Spanish to Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese. As a native English speaker himself Quint has learned skills and techniques to explain Grammar in a simple yet relatable way for other English speakers. Quint’s philosophy is that the most effective way to learn a language is to have fun with it by talking about the things that spark your interest rather than dry lessons that can cause you to lose interest.

Each lesson will be based on a theme where we will focus on specific vocabs and phrases related to it. I will also encourage you to speak in Korean during our lessons because the more you speak it, the better you will get! My goal is to help you learn the language in a fun, engaging way so that you truly enjoy learning it and make it a sustainable routine :)

I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to U.S.A and married a korean. My journey of learning korean has begun since:) I self-taught myself and took some lessons. I have obtained TOPIK level5. I have three trilingual children. I am willing to teach students of all ages. Let's have fun learning!

My lessons are basically in Korean. So, I will try to speak Korean as much as possible. But, I still teach in English.

※ Levels:
If you are an Intermediate & Advanced learner and want to have talks with me, then let me know the following:
- Which do you want more, discussion or revision? How much do you want me to speak? 50:50, 80:20, etc.
- Do you want me to focus on correcting your pronunciation/basic grammar? Or to rewrite what you said?

※ Homework:
Usually, my lessons have Homework. Are you okay with this? How much homework do you want? How many hours do you have for homework?

※ Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No Shows
If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson, I need to be notified 24 hours in advance. If you ask to change after this 24-hour period I will have to charge you the full price of the lesson. This same rule applies if you are over 15 minutes late and you have not ...
