My 6 year old daughter has been taking lessons with Catherine for about 7 months now, and we couldn't be happier. After begging me for lessons, of course my child already hates practicing. But Catherine couldn't be more patient, encouraging my daughter so that she enjoys playing by the end of each lesson. Catherine also seems very flexible in her approach to teaching. While she does follow standard curricula for the beginner, she is also extremely open to allowing my daughter play the music she wants to play. Catherine has really tailored my daughter's learning to suit her taste and ability, which engages my daughter and encourages her to want to learn.

Cat has been an absolute pleasure to work with. My partner and I have both been taking in-home lessons with her every week for about two months now, and we've both grown much more comfortable and familiar with piano at our respective skill levels. I'd highly recommend Cat to anyone asking me about piano teachers!

I have had 5 lessons with Jenny so far and it's been a great experience. She's very patient and breaks concepts down very easily. She helps you to speak more naturally and helps you with understanding. Korean is easy to learn to read and write but listening is very difficult. However, Jenny helps me to understand and break down syllables and words by repitition. It also helps to study outside the class because then you can sound what you are learning into you mind and heart. Hope to be fluent one day.

I am a recent graduate from Northern Arizona University, but spent all of my childhood living in Seoul, South Korea. Because of this I have become tri-lingual (English, Korean, Japanese). While at university, I was the vice-president and a teacher of the Korean Club which specialized at teaching university students how to speak, write, and read the Korean language since the university did not offer classes. Being from, and spending my life in Korea, I am very familiar with the culture which would greatly help me teach you relevant phrases / vocabulary that would be useful in conversation.

About Jeehyae
I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. I spent my first 20 years in Korea. I earned a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Northern Arizona University. While completing my studies at NAU, I was the vice-president of the Korean club teaching college students the Korean language (reading, writing, speaking), and culture.

I have experience teaching Korean to students ranging in skill from beginner to advanced. Students can expect to learn not only the language but also Korean culture and how the language is actually used outside of textbooks.

I also worked at the international office at NAU and Ajou University in Korea. So because of this, I am very experienced in teaching and speaking to students who are either learning English or Korean, and have a strong ability to increase their learning speed.

Hello,

I Just moved to America from Korea this summer! I was a kindergarten and Elementary teacher near Seoul for the last 7 years. I also have a Korean language certification.

I am good at gauging student level and interests. I am happy to modify any lesson to suit the needs of the individual student at that moment and with long-term goals in mind.

I will almost always be able to tell you what is right and wrong. However, if you have a very difficult grammar question I may have to get back to you. But I love the challenge!

So long as you have realistic goals in mind I can help you meet them. 파이팅!

About Bora
Hello,

I just moved to America in the Summer of 2017! Everything is new and exciting. I am still learning how to live here. It is a great experience.

I lived the rest of my life in Bucheon South Korea, between Incheon and Seoul. I have a bachelor's in theology and a masters in sculpture. I have also taken Korean teaching certification classes. I was an Engish teacher since 2010. I taught all ages between kindergarten and high school.

I have shifting interests, I am currently into cooking and cake design. I like to make intricate flowers out of buttercream.

I largely learned English by watching Friends. There is no bad way to go about language learning so long as you put the time in! I would be happy to help you on your journey.
