Voice Acting is a blast! I've enjoyed doing it professionally for two decades and I love it now even more than when I started. Ms. Danielle is a wonderful / excellent instructor. I booked 10 sessions with Ms. Danielle for vocal training and it was worth every dollar. I am singing this week at a big event, and because of Ms. Danielle vocal training, I am prepared to sing three back to back songs with the strongest voice ever!!!! Ms. Danielle doesn't know it yet, but I do plan to make her my life vocal coach.

The rating says it all. Best. Instructor. Ever. Danielle is amazing. She's so patient and kind and loving. Half the reason I take lessons from her is because she makes me feel so good about myself. She's so much more than a singing teacher. She's a creative guide. She will help you move beyond self doubt and explore your creativity. And of course, my rhythm and pitch are improving rapidly. Can't recommend her enough!

I enjoy my first lesson with Ms. Danielle. She is a great singing coach. I am looking forward to learning great singing skills from this instructor.

My fellow thespians,

You will be mentored by an Emmy Nominated actor and award winning Playwright. I have studied with legends such as Stella Adler and Larry Moss. My lessons are built on the Meisner technique. I have the solid foundation as a working actor and writer for thirty years.

I'm a highly sought after speaker and have taught my seminars at universities around the country. One of my goals is to transition the college acting student to a working actor. My students have built careers as a result of my coaching and mentoring. My all encompassing approach will cover everything from how to give an amazing audition to fast tracking you to obtaining an agent.

Compare my credentials of all your prospective teachers. I'm confident that my approach to presentation, proper breathing, voice, making a lasting first impression, how to dress, building your career, how to get an agent is unique and helps me stand apart from my competition.

Lastly, I really care. I am invested in

What do you do when you get the script?
Using subtext to bring realism to your performance.
Line delivery: tricks of the trade.
AUDITION
Do you have the right monologue to fit the parts you can play?
Suggestions for a monologue(s) to fit your persona. You need more than one to fit the different genres of the play or film you are auditioning for.
How to break it down, the importance of changes.
Tactics for attacking the cold read: what to do while you're waiting in the lobby after they just handed you your "sides."
Also, refer to ACTING (above).
DIALECT
Double your chances to be cast by having a variety in your bag-o-tricks.
British Receive Pronunciation: consider the number of plays written by Brits, and then listen all the Americans doing RP in films. Other: Irish, Scots, Cockney, and Romance languages.

"I tried several other voice acting teachers on this site before I came across David. And I can say with absolute confidence that he is the best teacher on here. David is kind, helpful, and an incredibly down to earth guy. Most teachers throw you in expecting you to understand their methods like I'm some kind of savant. David however, gives you material but also tells you why he gave you the material. He breaks down the process. Also, certain teachers will coddle you and give you fake praise so you continue to buy their program. And i'm not saying David doesn't give praise. But he gives meaningful praise. He is honest about when I lack in a certain aspect and tells me how to improve, while also giving my positive feedback on the things I am doing well. If you are on the fence about this teacher stop. He is worth every penny. If I got to do it over again I would have chosen him first in a heart beat for twice the money. He has rekindled my passion for voice acting and is actually giving my real hope that I can achieve my goals of becoming a real voice acting soon. I can not stress enough how wonderful he is as a teacher and that anyone and everyone who has a drive to learn acting should take his classes. I am continuing classes with him, but even when I'm finished (eventually) I will never forget what he taught me. Thanks David :)"

"Mr. Patti was a wonderful instructor. I loved how he went beyond the course to provide life lessons and career advise.

During our sessions, he had me practicing on a professional-style microphone, recorded me performing commercials from scripts, and provided feedback and constructive criticism that helped me to grow as a communications student.

I would highly recommend Mr. Patti to any student looking to improve their voice, their stage-presence, presentations, or public-speaking skills."

Introduction to Voice Acting: Books & Resources to Check Out

When it comes to the performing arts, voice acting attracts some of the most fiercely dedicated enthusiasts, despite the relative anonymity compared to acting on stage or on screen. In the old days, radio dramas were the most common inspiration for aspiring voice actors. Today, it’s animation. The key component of voice acting, even more than secrecy and seclusion, is versatility. An in-demand voice actor may be called upon to provide the pipes for a cartoon rabbit in a kid's show on Friday, …
