I teach Latin of all levels, whether from scratch or to help you in your classes. I tailor all my lessons to your needs, whether you want to ask me questions or would like to revisit lessons, whether you would like to speak Latin or would like to get ahead!

I have a BA in Latin and Greek. It is true that these languages are “dead” and can be difficult to learn, but they are still useful in the modern world. An intensive study of Latin, for instance, provides a fundamental understanding of the language through the explanation of many grammar topics. This results in a fuller understanding of English grammar and vocabulary. It is good to develop the discipline required to learn Latin in high school and beyond.

In addition to tutoring, I teach Latin from scratch. I have typed up a series of Latin Outlines based on college course material. Outlines are divided into three sections: Grammar, Vocabulary, and Exercises.

I studied Latin at Cambridge University and have taught students of all ages and abilities since.

Latin made fun for easy learning. Games and quizzes for younger students to improve memorization of vocabulary, conjugations and declensions.

I graduated from Tulane University magna cum laude in Greek and Philosophy. I won the university's oldest prize – the Judah Touro Medal, established in 1856, for excellence in the ancient languages. From there I moved on to an M.A. program at The University of Chicago. Declared a master I now hold a slot as a doctoral candidate in both classics and philosophy at Cornell University. I have read many authors in Greek with a view to grammar, style, word order, vocabulary, syntax, dialect, and related philologically significant items. Of the poets I've read Aeschylus, Euripides, Sophocles, Homer, Hesiod, Apollonius, Pindar, Aristophanes, and others. Of the prose writers I've read Thucydides, Herodotus, Aristotle, Plato, Epictetus, Plutarch, Diogenes Laertius, and others. I also tutor all levels of Latin - elementary, middle school, high school, college, graduate school, etc. I tutor for the AP, the SAT II, and other standardized tests for Latin.
