I can teach the basics of sewing with intro lessons coaching you through making our own simple projects with no stretchy fabrics.
I also teach lessons on making corsets to more experienced sewers-from intermediate lessons making a mockup and fitting it to make your first corset to advanced lessons on drafting your own special corset patterns and making them a reality.
I can also teach lingerie making, formal wear, and tech wear to more advanced sewers, from basic bralettes and underwear, raincoats and athletic wear, to embellished luxury garments.
My name is Sarah. I'm an artist with a BA in Theater Arts from UCSC. I've been sewing for 10 years now, and have worked in professional costume shops. I've been working with embroidery machines since 2017 and I use my embroidery machine, sewing, and crafting skills to run my own little fashion line

I'm a believer that almost anyone can learn to play music well, and guitar is no exception. It's something which seems difficult at first, but has a series of specific steps (like any instrument) which take the mystery out of it, and get you playing in no time! I love seeing students improve on this instrument and seeing how much fun they have once they begin to play songs they love.
I'm a life-long musician with a passion for the art and a love of teaching it. In 2012, I graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelors in Music. Through my schooling and personal study, I have become a well-rounded musician able to teach many instruments effectively. Making music with others

As a game, chess is traditionally divided into three phases: the opening, the middlegame, and the endgame. While all three are important, today I’m going to help you start out strong in the opening. When I first learned how to play chess, I played openings that really did not help me improve and left me with an awkward start to the game more often than not. Eventually, I adopted some of the openings that I will show you in this post and my rating skyrocketed. Opening Principles The first …

You may have rolled your eyes as soon as you saw this title of this post because it is 2021 and sewing a patchwork quilt is not even on your radar. You may also have immediately relegated this project to your retirement years, when you imagine that you will have endless amounts of time to learn to make a quilt. I bet if there was a fun video on a certain app about a patchwork quilt making challenge, you would have watched it and maybe even attempted it. I will do my best to make this project as …

I will admit to you, the reader, that most of the articles I have written thus far assume that the reader is already a fairly avid chess player, who is aware of the basic rules of chess and thus is interested in learning more advanced strategies, traps, and tricks with the goal of decisively defeating the opponent. But, of course, not everybody is born knowing the rules of chess---there are, in fact, many out there who are unfamiliar with the game, and need an introduction. Especially now …
