Learn to machine stitch (not machine emboidery) from an experienced sewing educator of more 15 years. Lessons are customized based on age and goals of the student.

Group lessons also available, please contact customer service to set up a group account. Group rates are $5 off individual rate for groups of 5 or less and $10 off groups of 10 (max 15).

Beginners: I will create a project that can be done from start to finish in one class so that you will leave with a handmade item.
Intermediate and Advanced: I can answer questions to your specific projects or teach you varied techniques.

I have a degree in technical theatre with an emphasis in costume design and technology. I design costumes for community theatres, opera companies and drag queens.

I helped teach sewing and costuming during my degrees. I believe in starting beginners with familiarizing themselves with their machines and how to read patterns.

I would love to share my years of experience designing, sewing and crafting with you!

I have been a professional costume designer since 2003 and have sewn everything from everyday apparel to sci-fi outfits to full-body monster costumes. I can teach you basic skills in a step-by-step curriculum fashion or I can help you create a specific project that you have in mind. Do you want something special for an event or do you want to make something out of some fun fabric you found? I am very flexible and enjoy being creative, so bring me your challenge and I will help you give it life!

My substantial areas of expertise are women and men patternmaking, draping, garment construction (sewing), tailoring, technical drawing, concepts sketching, from basic to advance skill set. I am also a big fan of incorporating recycled / repurposing materials such as leather, suede into garments.I encourage students to construct their own learning in an environment that stimulates and helps students to realize their full potential.
