I am Tracy L. aka Dr. Stitch. I have a passion for sewing and love teaching the fine art of sewing. Classes are geared to whatever you want to learn at your pace and skill level. I have been creating custom wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, Prom, Evening Gowns, Pageant Dresses, Christening gowns, flower girls’ dresses, communion, infant and preemie dresses/gowns, baby blankets, etc., and more for 40 years. I specialized in re-design, transforming a gown purchased or passed down to an original creation with your unique ideas and figure. I also re-design wedding gowns into christening gowns that mimic the original wedding gown, or I can take them in as donations as I re-design them for bereavement dress covers over a “cuddle cot” for local hospitals. Together we curate a mood board in your “Designed by Me Journal” workbook. Our first-class is at the fabric store so you can discover all things you need for sewing and design. You receive your own “Ultimate Sewing Kit” list that has tools you will need now and tools you can purchase as you advance in learning the fine art of sewing. Then we will start creating your Sewing Journal Portfolio! Shopping is a very fun and exciting time as we search for the perfect fabric accessories for your projects. I will share my tips and tricks along the way encouraging creativity, helping develop problem-solving skills, and most of all money-saving ideas. I am CPR, AED and 1st Aide certified and have a level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Homeschooling mom for 16 years. Training in ABA Behavioral Health, Mental Health Coach First Responder, Grief Share, and Symbis facilitator. Graduated from Charis Bible College May 2022.
