I am a Fashion Designer/Instructor and former Social Worker, who's very passionate about teaching Fashion and Embroidery. I'm always excited about helping students build skills gradually, from a complete Beginner, through Advanced levels. Also, I am one of the few teachers in the country who teaches the exclusive "Freehand" Drafting and sewing (i.e. sewing without commercial pattern). I also teach sewing with pattern. As a social worker, I taught participants in a homeless shelter, how to make various items geared towards independent living. For 11years now, I've been teaching in the tri-state area where patrons sign up for group sewing lessons as well as private lessons. I teach Garment cutting and construction, Pattern drafting, Alterations, Home décor items, and various sewing projects. With patience, I guide students to create a Scrapbook. This is a Binder full of samples, that capture important sewing skills for future reference. I am happy to help you navigate your sewing aspirations and goals when you register. Thanks.

Lily was a great teacher, i wanted to learn hand sewing and she taught me 4 different stitches that i was able to use immediately after i took my first class. I had no prior experience sewing at all and just sewed me first patch using the skills she taught me. I am very impressed at her skills and look forward to my next lesson!
Lily is very knowledgeable. My 13 year old wanted to learn to machine embroider and Lily was able to help teach her. Her knowledge of issues that arise on various machines is vast. Couldn't have asked for a better instructor.
What a wonderful experience! Had my machine up and running in less than an hour.
