So far my daughter has had three lessons and with each lesson we're patting ourselves on the back for choosing Evangeline 😄. She's super prepared and organized. Even before we chose her, she was really helpful and gave us very objective info. Sometimes it's hard for kids to focus with online lessons - especially when it's summertime. I watch the recorded lessons after and there are times that my daughter looks off into space probably dreaming of Minecraft or Roblox, but Evangeline is undeterred and is able to reel her back in.
She's super patient and engaging. Before her first lesson, we discussed what we wanted to get out of this experience and Evangeline has created a lesson plan that will help achieve that. So long story short - so far so good!

First lesson went really well. I really like that she takes the time to get to know her students so that she can tailor the lesson to their interests. Looking forward to the next one.

I grew up in Korea for the most of my life. Although I live in the states and use English on a daily, I believe that I am a true bilingual since I use both languages on a daily bases.
I can help with every day conversational language to grammar and literature.

While a bit humbling Alex definitely helped me fix some glaring technical issues, particularly with the bow.

She helped my 12 year old daughter prepare the Saint Saens Cello concerto (1st movement) for a small performance. My daughter played more spiritedly after her session with Alex. She was especially helpful for a specific bow technique.

I grew up in South Korea half of my life and I talk in Korean with my family and my Korean friends all the time. Learning a new language is very difficult, however, with my help, I can definitely get someone to a point where they can understand Korean without stressing out. I have been volunteering as a Korean language teacher in church for 4 years before moving to Los Angeles.

Quinton works primarily with beginner to intermediate students putting an emphasis on grammar in a fun and interactive way. After living in South Korea for two years Quint realized that grammar structure was one of the main sticking points that made learning Korean so difficult for English speakers. As a result he uses these practices to help students take their language study to an entirely new level.
Quinton has studied multiple languages ranging from Portuguese and Spanish to Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese. As a native English speaker himself Quint has learned skills and techniques to explain Grammar in a simple yet relatable way for other English speakers. Quint’s philosophy is that the most effective way to learn a language is to have fun with it by talking about the things that spark your interest rather than dry lessons that can cause you to lose interest. Though I haven’t taken a great many lessons as of yet, those I have taken with Quinton have always been fun and engaging. He is very open to rescheduling lessons & provides additional information to help supplement and solidify the material. Effectively helps you progress while going at a comfortable pace and breaking things down step by step so you don’t get overwhelmed. Not only teaches the material well but offers cultural and personal insights.

She is great! I made a lot of mistakes but she was willing to work with me and helped me learn. I’m always nervous during language lessons but she was understanding and we made it through the hard parts (conversing). I love that she has a well rounded approach to learning and having homework helps me dive in deeper. I have been studying on my own for a long time, so utilizing her classes is really helping me get more comfortable speaking, pinpoint weak spots and grow in the language.
Today was the first hour long session and it was amazing!!

I can say to my students that we will have fun, interesting classes that cover culture, formality, pronunciation, and more. I was inspired to become a Korean teacher by my love of Hanguel (Korean language), and I want to help people who want to learn about it.

I will be your encouraging teacher. I am looking forward to meeting you & helping you to develop your Korean skills.

"I've had several lessons with Quinton already and I'm enjoying his open format of following a plan, but not strictly. When I'm curious about something like "What do Koreans think of ...?" or, "How do I pronounce ...?", he will take the time to answer my questions before going back to the curriculum. This format makes learning much more enjoyable for me since it's at my pace. He also provides advice, links and apps on how to study (and learn more Korean) apart from class. Highly recommend him as a teacher."

5 Best Korean Learning Apps for Beginners

The best way to learn Korean is through lessons with a Korean teacher, but supplemental study materials - such as Korean learning apps - can be very beneficial for language students as well. Learning to speak Korean can be challenging, especially for English speakers. The language has a different alphabet, Hangul, and it contains sounds that aren't found in English. Fortunately, between YouTube lessons and language learning apps, there are lots of helpful resources available. Check …
