I teach all levels including kids 7 and up.

I've been sewing since I was 13. I've sewn things over the years such as dresses, pajamas. I do a lot of tailoring and alterations too. I just love to sew, and I love teaching people to sew too!

The way that I teach is to help the student develop their own style. I have students work on their own individual projects that they pick out while asking me questions that they might have while they are doing their project.

However, if they would like there is an option for me to develop lessons for the student on certain sewing techniques that the student could learn. Although, be aware that learning how to sew takes time and that all the techniques of sewing cannot be done all at once.

Then, there is the third option that the lesson could be a mix of the student doing what they want (choosing their own project) and learning some pre-designed techniques.

Students can expect a Systematic Approach to Sewing, what I fondly call the SASsy way. We will start with foundational topics like the Anatomy of the Sewing Machine, building on that foundation one skill at a time. I've learned that remaining motivated to sew often holds people back so I will also teach you how to plan out projects and how to build a sewing habit that helps you see consistent results and keeps you motivated to sew!

Beginner-You will learn basic skills of hand and machine stitching, seams, darts, pleats, zippers, pouch, tote bag and build many more samples into a scrapbook.

Intermediate- Fabric dimension and behavior, cutting skills, bias binding, various necklines and making a skirt or blouse. Learn to make garment with commercial pattern.

Advanced-Make dress, skirt, pants or blouse with lining.

Note: Although students learn at different rates, the above results are expected, if taking lessons 2hours a week, for 5weeks for all levels.

Hi! So just a little background. My mother was my teacher at a young age with the basics of sewing by hand with a needle and thread. And then went on to teach me the sewing machine and I haven’t looked back since. I love making zipper pouches, little stuffed dinosaur tails for children and pretty much anything I see around that I like. My latest project was a robe for Halloween which was a wizard robe.

I would love to teach you the basics first like how to use your sewing machine and patch work by hand. Then we can work on a pillow and maybe even some rice heating packs. After that you can choose a pattern to make. Hope to hear from you soon!

I have been sewing since age five. And I'm a cosplayer who makes the majority of my own costumes under the monicker Ozone Cosplay. I see by hand because it relaxes me, but I can also machine sew.

My teaching style is that sewing should be fun a low stress hobby.

While not trained professionally as a seamstress my sewing has given me the opportunity over the years to sew a variety of things from couture to costumes. Here are some I have sewn for clients: all items needed in a wedding, cheerleader uniforms, costumes, prom and mardi gras gowns, bedding, drapes(various window covering), upholestry, and garments for day to day use. My skills are varied and have taught me what works and what does not work. I will pass on to my students what will help make them be a successful sewist!
